i have a 71 240z auto trans i want to make it stickshift, what do i need to do and what should i buy to do this task?

Hi, I've been looking at buying a pretty nice 240z. only problem is that it is automatic. I was considering doing a swap, and I was just wondering approx. what the costs involved were. I'm good for the labour, so I would only need to buy parts. If this is the wrong place to ask this question, then sorry!

As mentioned in the thread linked above, that will very a lot depending on how thorough you are, and how much you have to pay for the transmission and other parts. As a guess, I'd figure on $500 or a bit more, figuring you'll need a new clutch, a used transmission and flywheel and other parts. Read the entire thread linked above.

Thanks Arne. I read the first section with the info on swapping, and I just assumed the rest of the thread were people saying thanks and what-not.hah my bad...I`ll try to be less lazy in the future :stupid:
