Posted July 30, 200222 yr comment_11632 what does the factory service manual look like. The one that I was told you can buy from the dealership, but cost quite a bit of money. I also heard that it was the best manualto work on a 240Z. If any of you have a picture that I can reference too that would be great. I know it is not a haynes manual or a chilton Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2451-factory-service-manual/ Share on other sites

July 31, 200222 yr Author comment_11646 I looked at the site you gave me. There apear to be many manuals. Are the ones for the specific year better than those of the general ones at the top. Also in the article it says that the two were combined at some point, why then do I see a front page for each? July 31, 200222 yr comment_11657 It seems that in 72 they came out with both a one volume and a two volume set. I have the single volume set and it is quite good. If you are looking to rebuild your engine, get the book titled "How to Rebuild Your Nissan/Datsun OHC Engine" by Tom Monroe - it is invaluable. I also have a Chiltons and a Haynes that I aquired through the years. Between the four books I have, I always find what I'm looking for.
