That dash looks like it is pretty good nick, actually all the interior I could see looked reasonable. Hate to guess what the seats look like under those seat covers though.

I'm guessing that since it is auto the engine is pretty stock then?

Looks like you have a project on your hands. SO whats the plan then: retsoration or modification?

My plan is to have fun bringing back the great lines of a Z with out going overboard on the restore. I have no frame rail rust. Just rust in front of the rear wheels that I plan to cut out with a plasma cutter then weld sections in from a rolled 240. The dash has a cap but I also have a out of the box new dash from Nissan. At this time I am unsure if I will use the dash or sell it for parts for the car. I plan to replace the seats with Miata seats so my 40+ yr old back and but is happy on long trips. Basicly I am looking at this car as plastic model that I used to make when I was a kid but now I will get to drive it!
