how much of a pain would it be to change out a gear shift lever that's been cut?

I didn't use the same size bushings as this set of instructions saide due to the fact that the numbers changed. Its still a Chrysler door pin kit that I used I can't remember the part # but just look for the Chrysler door pin kit.
