Passing smog with a header

Featured Replies

Has anyone in CA. passed smog with a header on and the smog fittings on it. I am thinking about putting a header on afetr I get the injectors back from testing and cleaning, but I wanted to know do they pass inspection.

Probably won't pass the visual inspection in CA, even if the sniff test is within limits. Are there any Z headers with CARB exemption stickers?

I dont know if they have any of the carb exempt headers, but if anyone finds one let me know, would it pass the visual with the sticker?

i also thought about the headers on my car. It was a big factor when i was buying the car in the first place. Thats why i made sure it was a 75 or older. that makes in smog exempt in CA. I would do it man or if you do i would buy thje headers install them and when u do have to smog it take them off. kinda of a pain but if u really want to and it wont pass smog that what i would do. btw i dont think just cause u have headers u will fail the "visual" test. could be wrong thou. ill try to find some info online for u.

Thanks for the info, I think I only have one more smog test before I dont have to do it anymore, but we will see with the laws changing and everything. But yeah, please let me know if you find any info on the headers. Thanks.
