Hey Mr. Camouflage! You are right! It is the way he "Gets" them! Some cars are stolen by the mafia and sold very very cheap to the smugglers. You can probably get a bmw m3 for a price of a corolla!(no bull) nope it isn't a type o. I tried comparing my friends "Work wheels" and they were heavier with the same rim size! These are very old mags also.my friends said that he got it off a beat up race car. Which was nice to know.At least it had some history to it.

Doing a Tonya:

555kg X 2.2lb/kg = 1221 lb. EACH, then X 4 wheels = 4884 lb, or roughly twice the weight of the car, for a total package of roughly 7300 pounds.

Geez, I think my old 76 Ford LTD weighed less......

That makes for increased gas mileage (snicker) once you get the car rolling.....plays hell on the brakes though.

Funny calculation! The 555KG is embosed on the face of the rim beside the bolts. It could mean something else cause I just went to a car shop and checked out some rims and I noticed that some even had 800KG or 700 and even 600.Does anyone know what these numbers mean? Il try to get the exact weight with the rims cause clearly adding them all up does make one heavy combination!hahaha!

I'm more concerned with the 38 mm offset than the (admittedly) odd weight. With that offset you are not going to clear the strut tubes. Gonna need some serious spacers for them, at least 30 mm or so. I'm betting those wheels were designed for a Honda, not early RWD Datsuns.

Hey Arne! Yup! I was afraid of that happening! I told myself if I had to put spacers I'm not putting them at all. My heart was racing(pardon the drama) when they installed them on the car and they fitted perfectly. A couple of cm more then they would be touching the springs.close but no cigar.

Maybe the 555kg is a load rating for each rim. I cant see a set of 4 mags weighing that much.

I just pulled a 7JJx14 mag off the back of my z today to remove some ugly metal side skirts, and i doubt i'd be able to lift it if it weighed 138kg (555/3).

I'm still a bit sus about that offset.....you sure the figures you've given are correct? Surely that large a positive offset would result in the tire/rim hitting the strut or at the very least they'd sit well within the arches and look a little silly. For a rim that size the offset should be very close to zero.

I got the details from the original stickers found on both the front rims and rear. I asked a "wheel expert" and the figures checked out and trust me,they fit perfectly. I'll try to send you some pics on the car when its done.
