Lower front corner of the door trim panel.

By the window crank? What's the purpose? Maybe to cover speaker holes?

Location: All the way forward at the very bottom of the door panel

Purpose: To protect the door panel from damage caused by people who forget to open the door before trying to exit (thus kicking the panel)

What he said-to keep the toes of shoes off the door trim panel.
