Just bought a 280zx for a complete engine & efi swap into my 240z.

Motor is in good cond, runs and idles ok but once the revs hit 2500 it dies and drops 500 rpm?

Can anyone point me to which part I may need to check first, AFM, TPS, Dizzy? as I've got a 2nd setup for spares.thanks

sounds like the TPS... you have moister in there, unplug, blow out with compressed air or whatever to dry it out........you should be good to go.

I'll try that first,you could be close to the mark actually as I remeber there being a steam leak from the thermo housing, I had to hit the inside of the dizzy with a hairdryer
