Hello, I am Alissa! Yes, I am a female and I own a Z car! I bought it on Feb 1st. I'll be doing most of the restoration work myself. I posted in pics here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20393 CT Area Z people please show yourselves!
His website is http://www.autosportfab.com. I am a wesite designer and do the work on his site myself. He gives the best deals to Z owners, so anyone in the CT area be sure to check it out, or even swing by to see our Z cars!
Thanks! Yes, I will do doing as much work as I can myself. My boyfriend has a fabrication shop and does work on Z's, including his own '72 240. So this is a great project for us to work on together. He is teaching me as much as he can because I know have little knowledge about cars, but I am willing to learn... even to weld!
I think I am going to paint it a darker silver. I'd like to keep most of the car as original as I can... even by doing the rust repair on the doors and fenders instead of replacing them with parts in better condition. I know it's going to be a lot more work, but it is my first project car!
Hi there! I am new to this forum and wanted to share with you my '78 280z. She is in need of a lot of TLC and I am looking forward to the project. The restoration began this week! Here is the first round of photos: http://www.autosportfab.com/gallery/restore/280z_an/index.html The car next to mine is a '72 240z also currently being restored. Enjoy! Alissa
