The regristation has gone live for ZCON 2014 Z Car Club Association - Annual Convention Registration Mike, We would love for for you to participate this year. Let me know what you need.
  4. I have a hood in San Diego, it is perfect off a 71.
  5. That is the one. I have a few that I am restoring and would like to fix that part as well. Would I be pushing it if I asked for the gasket for the light as well?
  6. What about the rubber boots that go around the light socket for the front blinder lights? Can those be reproduced? I love all the parts that are being reproduced and plan to buy some for my projects.
  7. I need a set of seals for factory headlight covers. I can get a set of originals to copy.
  8. This is a part I was going to ask about. You are on it. I have to check out your website.

It has been well publicized that Z CON 2014 will be held in beautiful sunny San Diego 5-9 August 2014. Because of this Motorsport Auto will not put on the annual Z Car Nationals Car Show in April Motorsport! West Coast Nationals - The Z Store, Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts. They will however will have a get together on Saturday; I have attended those in the past and they are fun for the So-Cal guys. Z CON 2014 promises to be a great event; we expect to have the most Z cars ever assembled in one area. Registration for the convention will open on 15 January ZCON 2014 , the host hotel is sold out but we do have overflow hotels available. The host committee for this convention is the Z Car Club of San Diego, we have worked hard to put in place many great events for participants. Check out ZCON 2014 on Facebook. We will have 2 different car shows at this year's event, one will be the national judged show on Thursday the 7th and the other will be more of a get together at Qualcomm Stadium during the Autocross event. The Saturday get together will get an opportunity to the many So-Cal locals to bring out their cars to show off and share. Unlike conventions in the past we will open events to non-registered guests on a case by case basis, meaning that if the event is not filled up by registered guests then non-registered guest will have an opportunity to sign up for the event a slightly higher cost than the registered guest. If you make reservations at a hotel for the event other than the host hotels remember that the ending banquet is Saturday night August 9th so you will need to have a room until the 10th. Questions?
  10. Great thread; fun. I will have to try to find my pictures of my first Z.

Great stuff, love the things you are making available for our cars Steve.
  13. I rescued a 71(paid $250 for it) built 4/71 4sp car that is blue on blue and I think the blue interior parts are gorgeous. Everything you need to make it this pretty in the inside is available from Classic Datsun at Classic Datsun Motorsports The PO of my car painted over the blue with black vinyl paint. My car is ready for paint and I plan to repaint it the original Nissan blue; I have to decide whether or not to put the original blue or the black that I have in the car. The car is being fixed up to sell.

  15. Tribal supreme Elder Rich talks what he knows. If you follow Chucks advice as well it is still the same as Rich said. Add stuff, it costs money then when you go to sell it and put back on the old parts it costs money so why not just leave it the way you found it; the greatest line ever said by car collectors: "it is only original once". Besides a bone stock 240Z is still a great pleasure to drive.

It is a 260Z with a turbo. I know the car well and the owner.
  19. The 240 - 280 is now the same part number and I contacted Courtesy Nissan (David House) yesterday and he said they were no longer available and ran a nationwide search and found none laying in stock anywhere. Thanks jerry So what is the final vertict on this? Does Courtesy or any other dealer have it or not?
  20. Before you get ahead of yourself David you might look into the availability of the LD V07 crank and its current going rate to obtain. They can be hard to locate and once located go for around $700. If this car is a low number rust free clean car you might consider allowing it to remain stock and original...they are only original once. Surviver class cars are the rage right now and do very well in price and value.
  21. I have a complete 3 piece medal valance from a 77 that works with any front where the front blinkers are located in the grill. I might have the 2 piece grill as well.
  22. Awesome job; looks great. I have 3 in the garage I must now fix up.

Odd I have the same problem. I have to fix it; kinda embarassing having one dim headlight. I however do not have the upgrade yet.

Am I alone on this? but; I think the car is much cooler in its current post race condition. Restoring it will only strip away the awesome post race patina.
