  1. I saw one simular to it in a Pick your own Part in Chula Vista CA last Saturday morning. It was a 10/70 automatic. Striped pretty good already, it was sad to see. The body looked good not sure how she ended up there. I was surprised by how high the VIN was an that it was an automatic.
  2. Why yes there is a better deal than VB....Motorsport charges just $169.00 for them. There is a problem with the $400 core charge BUT you might be able to work a deal out on that issue. We just got one today that we ordered last Monday. Call them.
  3. Are you planning on going back to the Nissan one or another Toyota?

I got two sets of factory originals in the Nissan plastic bags, I can't image what they are worth. One set is going into a gnose JDM style street racer and the other might go on the block...

I was thinking the same thing, I think if Carl wrote a book it would be very interesting, I would buy it. He could get contributing sources from Chris, and Alan from England amongest the other very knowledgable contributors on this board. Us PA guys think alot alike...(grow up in PA, moved to Cali when I joined the navy over 20 some years ago). Seriously, Carl think about writing a book about all things Z, it history, myths and legends, make it a coffee table type with great pictures and personalities. One last note, Alan that was some great funny stuff you did....loved it.
  6. Bought mine from Mossey Nissan National City CA, just a few months ago. It was not cheap but I used my Z club discount and got it in a day or so. I bet Courtesy Nissan has it. The one I bought was for my 1973 Z, it was exactly the same as the broken one except the area that was chrome is now grey.
  7. A link for BMW mirrors: http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/replacement_sm/bmw~mirror~replacement.html I stand corrected about mounting they mount from the top as well but for some reason do not wobble like many after market mirrors do. Maybe the wide base plays a role?
  8. Nothing looks better than the factory mirrors...but if after market is your fancy then the BMW 2002 mirrors look great and are mounted from under like the factory editions are. I bought some cheapo chromed mirrors from MSA last March, they are already pitted and look like crap. They are the ones that say 64-67 Mustang on the box. As for the mention of the JDM mirrors: I have a set on a car that I am working on for a friend and they are impossible to see out of....I HATE THEM. Just my opinion.
