I sold a set like that for $850 to a guy in New Zealand so that is a great score.

240Z California shell bargain!
I am all over this; working on a trailer to pick it up this weekend.

Anybody here in Oc ,
Not in the OC either...closer to Tijuanna then the OC but still So-Cal. There are so many Zs and Z guys here in this area. You are never alone unless you are driving a ZX 2+2.

Buying first Z! NEED HELP
The front fender can be replaced and the rear section can be repaired...so go for it, but I would only pay $900 or so for it.

Does anyone know about ebayer taaroa477?
Needs to end up on the bad ebayer list.

my birthday present!
Good luck finding a rust free example in Europe. I know there are a few 73s in Denmark and the Netherlands, I saw them on the Z car registry. http://zhome.com/IZCC/ZRegisters/classic.htm My car is listed right about the 2 European cars.

my birthday present!
Why a 73? What kind of 73 are you looking for, I got 2. One that is a daily driver and one that is waiting to be rebuild. The daily driver is an automatic pretty much bone stock. I would consider selling it if the money was right.

Does anyone know about ebayer taaroa477?
I have seen the guy on Ebay and had an email thread going with him one time. I will email him, to highly advise that he mail your stuff right away. I hope he is not trying to rip you off.

Will car still run/drive with dash removed?
I see Zs all the time without dash boards what the drives do is zip tie or safety wire in all the gauges to the remaining framework. I think there are some guages that cause a ground which is necessary to start the car. I broke the ground on one of my cars when the dash was out. I had to start the car by crossing a screw driver to the starter, not an ideal way of starting the car.

Thanks Arne....been meaning to buy one.

researching a VIN
The Ford Dealership in National City is Perry Ford now, it was another name back then. Like Dennis said, I think this car will go down as a pleasant memory; there will be no "Is that my old Chevy?" commercial momment for you and your old Z. If you persist and do find it I for one will be very impressed.

researching a VIN
I think it is going to be very difficult to find. The place to start would be with who did you trade the car for the truck with, try to find that person and the trail of the car will start to come to light. I owned a 78Z from 1991 until a few years ago, but I still know where it is.

Look forward to seeing your completed car.....I might see it complete before you do... Dropping off our Roadster there after the New Year, Les is putting a blood red interior it in for us.

Desperately Seeking Tires
Jerry, Les showed me your wheels when I stopped by on Saturday. They look really sweet. I have not seen any of the tires your are asking about, but I do understand that you would not want a large gap in the wheel well.

How much would you pay? Chevy 350 / Turbo 400 1972 240Z
It looks to me like a solid $6500 car if it runs as good as it looks, but if it runs as bad as the hood looks then $4500. If you are looking for a V8 car that looks like a solid one to buy. I really like the wheels and tires, the interior looks good along with the gage update. If you can get it for the low price under $5K do it.

Anyone heard from Wingzro?
Oh Noooooooo!!!!!! I hope there is something else going on here other than another good guy going bad.

Another reason to like Adam Carolla
I love Adam....he is a little Dennis Miller without the big words. He nails it, his pod casts/car casts are so fun to listen to. I listen all the time, he is a great car guy and an even better Datsun guy. He got my vote.

I'm blaming Arne! Going, going.....hopefully gone to good home soon!
I am thinking about getting out the Z-cars myself too. I have my eye on getting a Posche kit car from Thunder Ranch. I am looking at the Spyder. I know the owner real well so I can get a great deal. I could empty my garage of all my Z parts.

Bin Laden’s Widow Embarrassed House was Such a Mess
Now that last joke was funny....one of those "where is this going" jokes; but turned out funny.

need help removing the steering wheel!
You might need to get yourself a steering wheel puller. I had to do that to my 78 back in the day....you might be able to get one on loan from Kragen, O'Reilly's or Autozone.
