  1. It's actually a sale and not an auction and watching the video, I got the impression that the prices may be very reasonable.... but who knows? There is a contact number for the outfit putting on the sale that's located just above the video. I called a bit ago and was told he won't know the price on the Z till later this afternoon.

  3. Don't see these too often........... http://auc.aleado.com/yahoo/lot?auctionID=b170297163
  4. And yet which one has gone down in history as the most influential & important "family member".......
  5. Carl, 17K is probably more the estate company's price. They generally price things high to start with and discount towards the end. While it's under contract with them, one would have to deal with them vs. the owner. If it's still there at the end of the sale.... who knows what the final price will be..... Someone from the area should check it out in person.
  6. Just got off the phone with the owner and he said it isn't one of the "program" cars. He is the original owner and bought it new in 71. It has had one re-paint. Owner also says there are no rust issues. Only said there was some rust on the back side of the muffler. I was originally told by the "estate" person that the mileage was around 66k, but he owner says no, it's somewhere between 72-76K.... Interested parties can contact the owner thru the phone number listed in the link for the estate company handling the sale.
  7. Nice fairly low mile 240Z. Approx. 66k miles, owner looking to get around $17k for it....... http://www.estatesales.net/estate-sales/TN/Chattanooga/37404/808260

  9. Here's what looks to be a 1979 280ZX that's had a convertible conversion...... http://www.estatesales.net/estate-sales/UT/Salt-Lake-City/84102/800664
  10. I could use some help if anyone in Colorado Springs could spare some time. I'm trying to get pic's of a vehicle I'm interested in buying, but the elderly owners aren't real computer savy. Just need a few shots taken (8 maybe) and emailed to me. If anyone can help, give me a shout via messages and we'll go from there. Thanks.... Mike

Don't like the light brown text. Too hard to focus on and doesn't "pop" out like it should. Hard on the ol' eyeballs!
  12. It's possible you may have some long lost relatives in the Amazon!
  13. Thanks SteveJ, I found those "agents" later and have signed up with one outfit. My plan is to use them for future auctions, as I don't want to become a burden to the member who was kind enough to help me on short notice.
  14. The auction ended with no bids and was automatically relisted. Then next day a very nice member on this site offered to assist me and with his help I was able to win the item. He is forever in my gratitude!
  15. I REALLY need to try and buy an item on Yahoo Auctions in Japan and am getting nowhere trying to bid or communicate with the seller to see if they will ship to the USA. This auction ends in 6 hrs, so need help fast. I know this is short notice, but I just found this and it's all I got to work with. If you can help, please message me asap. Thanks!

If you've been looking for one of these..... here ya go! Datsun 280ZX "R" special edition
  17. Hi Jim, I'm waaaayyy down here below you in Harlingen. As far as garage sale $'s, it can't hurt to check if the contact info is still good and maybe see what the story is on the car.
  18. Wonder if this was sold...... Garage sale Thurs-Sat
  19. Not cheap, but how often do you see this item show up! Choke/Throttle Cable-Datsun 1970 240Z Edit: This may have been a scam..... The ad is now gone but the assembly pictured in the San Diego ad was the same one as pictured here in this eBay auction way over on the other side of the country. :tapemouth Guess I should've checked eBay first. 1970 Datsun 240Z Throttle and Choke Cable Assembly
  20. Sorry i can't help you with the info you're looking for, but wow.... my old 72 was 97001!
  21. Don't worry about it Steve.... since I really don't know if it's going take just 10 min. or 10 hrs. to document the stuff, I'll need someone that doesn't have any time constraints. Plus I'd need to hook up the owner & volunteer so they could make whatever arrangements for showing the parts. Don't even know if he's available this weekend. Thanks, Mike
  22. No, it's an older gentleman that had a small motorcycle dealership back in the day and has some leftover nos parts. Trouble is, as he puts it, he still lives in the stone age and doesn't use a computer and has no easy way let me see what he has. Say's he has a couple shelves of parts but doesn't have a list and doesn't seem to want to put one together. Say's it'd be better if I could come in and check it out. Since south Texas is more than 2.5 hrs away , my only shot is trying to find someone close by that would be willing to help out.
  23. Yup, that's way too far out of your way, but thanks for giving it some thought.
  24. Thought I'd give this one "bump" before I head off in a different direction..... :classic:
