I would suggest putting the info on the car and link to ebay(if you choose this route) on various Z sites, the more advertisement the better to drive up the price.....I would even say have some friends drive up the price, you can always sell it to the next highest bidder if the top bidder doesn't come through. Sucks to hear, my dad and I went halfs on our 280z and sorta work on it together when we have time...he just had major foot surgery and wants to sell it since I already have a z32....so on fathers day I cleaned it up and took some pics of her for him.....it worked in the past, I showed him a pic I took of it and he took the for sale sign out the window....fathers day... http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22023 Good Luck, hope you keep it, it will always be your Z even if you sell it becuase people will recognize it as your work in the end if you do end up selling it.

I have no idea the color, we bought it last summer, the paint is not as perfect as the pics make it seem. I wish I could help you out, its actually darker then the daytona blue of a 350z, my dad had a daytona blue 350z last year for a small time and its darker.

I cleaned it up today and took it out for some pics after spending some time at home with dad.....

I've pressure washed underneath pretty good and found no signs of leaks since its pretty clean now, I may just go with some high mileage oil or maybe heavier weight and see if it burns/leaks the oil anymore. Thanks for you advice Mike, I appreciate it.

checked the plugs today, a little carbon on them but absolutely no oil on them. its freakin me out, my only guess is either it leaks only when I drive it but I cant find any anywhere underneath or you may be right that it may burn some when I take it on the longer drives but I have seen no black smoke once neither has the Z's following me at the meets. Just seems like a lot of oil(1 quart) to lose in a small time(200miles) without smoke/leaks. I seem to lose it on the long drives, 1hr., never around town. But thanks for the advice. sorry if you guys cant help me, I was hoping someone might say "thats normal", j/k its not, or maybe one of you found some leak underneath that may only leak when driving.

Ok I purchased my 75 280z over the summer, I mostly use it for Z meets/shows, occasionally take it out on the weekend for a cruise. The problem im having is it seems to be using about a quart of oil every 300-400miles. It doesn't smoke at all, does not leak at all, so what else might be going here? Anyone have similar issues in the past? My 280z has 110K on it, I use 10W30 valvoline, should I maybe switch to high mileage oil? I've put 1k on it since this summer and today found it almost a quart low after adding a quart 150 miles ago, I took to a meet 1hr away and lost almost 1quart from that drive. Some people tell me its 30yrs old and to be happy that losing oil is my only problem, but why am I losing any if its not leaking/smoking at all? Thanks for any help.

If you worried about driving your Z and being looked at as a possible criminal because of the show, my morning was similar yesterday to that show. Here is the story, I pull into work yesterday and see a pretty nice looking mid 80's Z, gold with decent wheels. I say to myself maybe I should give the guy in it a flyer for my meet today. I decide I would do it later, go to punch in. As I open the door at work I look back and see a lady get out in a hurry from the passenger side, she opens the trunk and gets her belongings. About 2min later she starts yelling for help as people drive by, she walks towards us at work saying the guy in the Z just raped her. We call the cops asap and next thing you know his screaming on the ground(probably on drugs) and is being arrested. Z gets towed away. Honestly I dont think she was raped, she looked to be on drugs also, she was probably a hooker who didn't get payed by the way she looked. Either way everyone was looking at me and my Z at work and all I could say was it was probably stolen, that was an interesting morning. Glad I didn't bring a flyer over to the car.

Just wanted to tell everyone to drive safe and that NO its not supposed to rain at all tomorrow.

I will try to get the high res pic up later, im not computer savy, it was a 5mp camera shot but it got a little blurred when I resized it. It doesn't help with the 56K connection. Just to make you guys laugh I haven't mentioned that the hood is fading and the roofs clear coat is eating away, I just bought it this summer and have tried the best I can to keep the paint looking good. No the trim doesnt run from front to back, the lighting from the flash probably caused it. And thanks everyone for the comments, calender shot ha(thanks), took about 30 sec to park snap 3 quick pics of her and go punch to work. Didn't really figure in angles/lighting but it turned out decent.
