I am starting my racing career
Soop, The information above is all spot on and Jon's recommendation to go with a race car that's at least partially prepared is a good one. OK, is this just for fun? I can't race just for fun as sick as that is. Maybe when I get older, but right now if we're not top 3, we're back to the drawing board. The cost to prep yourself AND be competitive is exponential. There is not doubt that tons of seat time is also necessary, so don't forget about that. I emailed you. Feel free to give me a call. Good luck, Greg Ira www.revtec1.com

Goodyear Takeoffs
Hello, We waste a lot of tires and I know someone can use them. We use 23x9x15 slicks in several compounds from Goodyear. We'll usually use them one weekend. They aren't near being worn out but that extra .1 secs might not be there. Please let me know if you are interested. Greg Ira

Good luck Greg Ira!
Hey Carl, Yes, you are correct. That is what I meant. I was unaware that the lists are going model specific, but I am OK with that. I did just build a beautiful 280ZX ITS SCCA competition car. The aero ought to really help us at Daytona. What webpage is for the ZX's? Hey, I travel in your area a couple times a year. I'd love to come by and check out your Z's.. Let me know. Thanks, Greg

Good luck Greg Ira!
Relating to the SCCA Z car classification and the descending times. It's 100% about the prep levels of the cars. The GT3 and the GT2 cars would be quicker if they were prepped to the level of mine and Don's cars. I pitted next to Jeff Winter and he was out there in a glorified IT car just to have fun. I have never seen a driver so stoked before as Jeff was after pulling into the garage after his race. He had an absolute blast and that's what we do it for. Anyway, I am on this list for good now. I really like it and the format. I was sort of a die hard Z home page guy. The competitiveness of the 240Z in E Production is in major jeopardy. We currently don't stand a chance but I have mounted a huge fight for change. I should know something in the next three weeks or so. Greg Ira PS- lots of racing the first two weeks on Florida.

E Prod 240Z wins at VIR
Mark, Thanks for getting these cool pics on the website. VIR is a place that all racers, spectators, and crew should visit at least once. Full course is 3.27 miles long with 250 feet of elevation change. I will never forget that race. Oh, I saw a comment on a Production Car forum website from an corner worker who was working at turn 1 during the race. He said the lead car (RX7) got sideways on his own and lost the lead. I sleep well at night. Greg
