I am up in the air on this one. 73 240 .. I am just wondering about value of this here is BC Canada as there are not many to be found .. and most are junk. I am looking at a 73 240 that was in really nice shape about 5 years ago but has been let go abit. Doesnt seem to be much rust but there is a bit. I am having it up on a lift soon. It is almost winter here so I wont get to drive it much (unless in winter). I would like to think this is a good investment at about $2500 to $3000 but am not too sure. I sold my restored 72 240 in 1986 for $5000 in Vancouver. Any help ? Thanks ..Bruce

Did I mention 3K Canadian? This car was a pro has a great motor, nice header and exaust system, great carbs, and I drove I today and all seems to be tight with brakes and tranny. Mild cam in motor too. The sun roof is about a 5 out of 10 in quality and is said not to leak but I dont like sunroofs and this one unfortunately is a vinel fold back type. Main thing about it is that it has some of the small stuff missing or not installed. Best thing about it is all the history, all numbers match up with original car, and is a very good driver. What are these worth in better condition (not total restore). Is the originality ..numbers etc ..very important with these? BTW .. this is a great site and I now have a renewed love for these cars. I had a 71 that I took completely apart when I was 16-18 and put it back together as best I could. It looked great! I will post pics. I still remember every thing about it. They are very easy to work on and great to drive. Thanks for help

I had one of these 20 years ago and re-built it. This one I am looking at has possible frame rail rust. How hard is it to rplace these? Cost ? This car comes with a parts car and has all history of pro rebuilt motor, newish paint, interior is abit rough but mostly there. It has a fold-back type sunroof that I dont like and am wondering how much this devalues the car and how much it would cost to have it replaced with original roof and if it is worth it? I am about to pay $3000 CAD for the car and the aprts car. Is this a good deal? I am going to make this deal in the next day or so so a quick reply from experienced people in the club would be great. I am about to buy a used 73 240Z in good shape. Has all history and comes with a parts car. It seems that the front frame rails could be rusty. I need to know how hard/expensive it is to have these repaced. Is $ 3000 CAD reasonable for this car/ It has a motor that has been rebuilt proffesionaly a few years ago, mild cam, paint was profesionaly re-done afew years ago and now has some rust showing, and some minor dents and scratches. much of the interior is rough, dash has one crack all guages work well, good rubber and nice mags, reupholstered seats(cloth). Parts car has good motor etc but hit hard in front, factory roll bar. Both have sun roof in them. does this devalue the car alot? Should I have the roof replaced? The sunroof is a canvas type not a glass type and I really dont likle it much. I hope someone will reply to this soon as I am thinking of buying this car tommorow. Thanks alot ... Bruce
