Hi Lance... I made a mistake on the location on this car... I glanced at it on ebay when it 1st came up for bid and I thought it said Chesterton In.... I just went to send the guy email about seeing the car on Sat. and I noticed the car is in Chesterfield In.. which is down south of you a 100 miles or so .. close to Indy... sorry about that ,,, I would have offered you a few dollars for a few interior parts if u won the bid.... thanks and sorry about the mix up.....

going up to Michigan on Sat... so I'll be driving right by the town this car is located in... I could always take more pics of the .. it's not rust,,,,,

I saw a windshield on ebay earlier today for a 240 .. and try www.zparts.com I think they have a listing for glass also

there is one up on ebay now.. it's got a buy it now for $16.95 it goes off in 5 days or so.... and Amazon has new ones listed for around $14.00....

Hi Larry.... thats sad what big brown did to your car... is that getting repaired ? or being used as a parts car now ? trim wise yes... that looks like the same stuff.. was concerned about some rust in that area with all the groved in the trim but it looked / felt fine... thanks for the info .. Hi again Marty... I missed a few ??'s.... miles wise it says 99xxx the guy I bought it from has owned it for 10 years and said he's only but on 1000 miles at most since he bought it... it's a orignal arizona car .. I found it up near the Wisconsin Boarder in IL....

thanks guys... trim wise I'll have to do some research and find more about dealer options... the wheels have a gold cast except the rim area... and there is gold pinstriping that goes ok with the wheel tone... now I have to find a place to store my boat so I have room for this at home ... thanks again....

how about a hot fudge chocolate brownie ?... anyway.. looks good mark... and I like those wheels,,, much nicer then the ones mine is comming with... so did you let the wife drive it part way home ? ... ?? what is the bar called thats attached above the rear bumper ? have the same thing on the one I bought ,,have seen a lot of them on 78's I looked at ,,but not on 77's....

Hi all... bought this 78 over the weekend .. was told it was making a whining noise but I never did hear anything .. it's been a long time since I drove a z .. 20 years or so ... it's pretty much rust free ,, not a fan of the chrome/stainless steel trim that someone put on the car but for the most part it's in OK shape ,,, the steering seems a little flat ...ball joints may need replacing... bringing my baby home this Sunday ... thanks for previous advice.... Kevin

I am going to look at another car tomorrow a 78z ,, I talked to the owner today and he mentioned the car makes a Whining sound while it's in gear ....,,I asked him if he could tell where the noise is comming from but he wasn't sure... the car has a manual trans... anybody have any thoughts ? something minor ? something to worry about? thanks for any input...

Hi Phil... kinda hard finding z's unrusted around the greatlakes... but there are a few... there is a guy in Algonquin IL. selling a 260z on another sight.. guessing thats about 2 1/2 hours or so from you ... I haven't seen the car but if u want to give him a call.. here's his number 847-485-5085 .. he's asking 2750.00 or best offer....

thanks for the input 2many... frame rail rust... in the midwest ? naaaa... have this fear of looking in the rearview mirror and seeing the z floating away with no bumper...just checked info on a renting a towdolly ... not to bad $ 90.00 from uhaul for 300 miles ... thanks for the input..

does anyone know if a 78/280z bumper will hold up ok to a towbar ? don't have real far to tow . 250 miles or so and flat ground for the most part...
