Owned a 1983 Gold with light brown interior when I was about 19 years old and loved it so much that it was like losing the best girlfriend I ever had when I sold it. Told myself I would have another again some day. I now own a late production 1973 240z with an L28 (3L stroker with early Italian built triple Weber DCOE 45's) and matching long ratio 5 spd from a 1978 car that is in decent unrestored condition (especially for a Canadian car). It is a bit of an odd ball I think as from the info I can find it has the factory silver paint code of 306 that would be the silver not offered on the 240z for on the 260z and onward, the 240z should have the 901 Silver.

Second car is a 1976 280z, ground up resto-mod, 3.2L stroker (factory L28 and 4 spd). I bought it in Portland, OR back in 2012 with a bit of a funky body kit on it and plan to bring it back to its former glory one of these days since they are gaining enough value to justify the cost. I really feel that there is simply no improving on the classic Z car design, it is just so good that any alteration safe for the terrible bumpers on the 260z and up would take away from its beauty.
