Have you called any of the other parts suppliers? Did you check with your local Nissan dealer? E-bay? You can bypass the valve to have it on all the time, you will need a hose that is about 5-6" longer coming from the head.

Nice! The picture came from my brother down in Ecuador. He said they are "Datsun 1200's". Looks like a cute little truck. I wouldn't mind having one. Check out this one with flames. It's a 1999. And being sold for $6200 U.S. dollars.

Those look like 4 screw bowls. Aren't those 70 and earlier? Or 71 & earlier?
  6. FWIW, I went with the MSA 6-1 coated headers also. To that I went with a custom bent 2 1/2" pipe, a resonator next to the driveshaft and a flowmaster exhaust. At idle it sounds like it has a V-8. I love it.

That's funny. So what would they call a brown one?
  8. That's one zweet set-up!!!!
  9. Very nice indeed!!!
  10. Just a thought, if someone is interested in the good car. I think I can fit both cars on my trailer (20'). So if someone isn't too far away I could be persuaded to make a delivery:). Edit: Sorry but, I measured again to double check and you need atleast a 21' bed for two cars. I'm short a foot.
  11. Dan, don't tell my wife but I'm looking for my next project.
  12. You've got a PM.

How does that saying go? "Life's a journey, drive it!"
  14. I'll buy the parts car if someone wants the good car.

Well Jay, looks like you've been on quite a roller coaster ride.

When I took my car to get stripped the body shop used a 8" disk on the end of the D/A. The wide pad made a more even cut.

Victoria British lists them. There are also several bone yards that would have them.

    This is why I don't:
  19. Unless the internal bushings or the gears on your rack are worn a rebuild is fairly easy. Also change the rubber mounting bracket rubber bushings with urathane ones. And like Bill mentioned, to pull the rack is quite involved. You have to loosten the motor mounts and raise the engine.
  20. I tried installing relay's on my headlights (on my 73). I had a problem with the lights staying on. This was also mentioned as a problem (with the 73's) when that one member was making the headlight relay upgrade harness.

Keep searching, they have a store in your neck of the woods.
  22. First do the front. Then save some more money, and let your bruises heal. Then when your ready do the rear. On the third day do the middle. It's a big job no matter how you look at it. But I would break it down into sections. Jack-up the end your going to do nice and high so you have plenty of room to work. Use jack stands, and be safe.
  23. I knew it. Thanks for clearing that up. I will tell you I have seen urathane bushings that have disintegrated with time. Don't exactly know how long they last but they don't last forever.

Welcome to the club. Nice looking race car.

I too have installed the front cover after the head has been torqued. You do have to loosten the oil pan to get it on there. The only bad thing I've heard about using silicone is when you use too much. It gets squashed out on the inside as much as the outside. Then over time it breaks loose and gets stuck in the oil passages.
