throttle body question
240sx and 180sx have different engines. If you want the same engine as a 240sx in australia, you'd be chasing a 2.4L pintara (KA24E) or a 90s bluebird (KA24DE).

The 260C after a good clean
I'll have a crack at it with the cut and polish, see how it comes up. The sides of the car might be right, but the bonnet and boot are flaking, so definitely need to be resprayed. The paint is pretty average, looks better in the pics than it does in person.

Oooo a 230 coupe! That would be sweet! Your specs list up there reads pretty much identically to mine, other than mine having cloth seats......very nice cloth though.

Thanks for the links mazingerz1976! ? There is no "soft top" as far as I know, just the sedan, hardtop and wagon. Well I got stuck into it last night and again today. The ol Cedric kicked into life after a bit of a play with the electric fuel pump (still a bit dodgy). Generally everything seems to work fairly well with a few exceptions. • Front passenger door wont open • One power windows switch is stuck • Thermostat is stuck • Brake booster leaks • One power steering line has a little leak That's about it. Gave it a wash. Definitely needs new paint, though the vinyl roof came up really well. Still haven't given the interior a good clean. Check out my gallery for the new pics. P.S. The more I'm around this car, the more I love it!

The photo really doesn't show the colour or texture of the of the seats. It's this really nice light jade green with a very intricate pattern. Suits the car very well.

....and the 280ZX turbo would have been nice too. ....and some LD28 powered cars so we can steal their cranks.

Hi pro240c, I just got it home this afternoon and I can see why you like these things! I'm wrapped! Love it. I gather a 240C would be the 230 right? I don't really know too much about the Cedrics, is there any good resources I should have a look at? Cheers, Murph

Good to see. What sort of power level are you aiming at? I'd be thinking unless you're shooting for some BIG power, the $ would be better spent elsewhere. I suppose the aftermarket plenum will have the advantage of simplifying the intake piping.

My newly aquired 260C. Paint's a bit average, but otherwise it's rather good. Straight, almost rust free body, excellent interior and mechanicals.

Brycey: I'd be a bit skeptical of any "one of a kind" intake manifolds. What engineering, testing and development has gone into them, or is it just a case of "looks about right mate"? The engineers that design these things for living at the car manufacturers have a hard enough time getting the flow to each cylinder just right....

Nah different car. The bloke had only tried to sell it in the paper locally once before (which I missed). He was planning on doing it up himself with his young sons.....but that never eventuated. I do REALLY like this thing though. If I can convince the folks to let me keep it here for a while, I'll probably keep it. Mightn't be too easy though.
