I first got the Z bug while in high school.  My grandfather bought me a 1983 280ZX 2+2 that I named, "Sled dog."  In 2012 I decided I wanted a project to work on to vent stress and bought a 1978 280Z from a storage facility which had acquired it because of non-payment.  It was a giant boat anchor, but was a complete car.  For months friends, neighbors, my sons gathered around the car like it was the local campfire and in 3 months time had is starting reliably from the key.  One month after that it was moving around the driveway under its own power.  One month after that we fixed the brakes.  Within 6 mo. it was registered and inspected.  I have continued to diligently spend time with "LaZarus" and have had some very good results.  In November 2017 Gas Monkey Garage named "LaZaRus" their "Build of the Week" and had me come to the garage for a video shoot.  (This was just prior to their reveal of their SEMA Z).  I continue to drive LaZarus 2-3 times a week and love every minute of it...one of the best purchases I have ever made!
