  1. I think you guys are over analyzing this.... As a guy who likes to draw cars in his spare time as well, it's all about making it look sweet! Great job and welcome to the community!
  2. Amazing outline it sounds better and better every time we talk about it. I have heard about how Frederiskburg is a very scenic part of TX.

Awesome Ben can't wait to see the 280z! I would of never guessed this would be this big of an event.

Looks like we've got quite a few Zs in the group planning on going to the z rally this fall!

I think it's a great idea, especially since we will be putting quite a bit of miles on our cars so who knows what could happen.
  6. Here's the wing nut off my 72 240z I believe the two on there are the same. What was the other bolt you needed? Chase
  7. Man I wish I had a personal clunker to whack at every time my car gave me problems, there wouldn't be anything left of it!
  8. I have certainly been there before with my cars, boy those hammers come in handy :stupid:

Makes sense, should be a pretty cool thing being able to drive around with some other Z guys there. Cant wait!

Adam I am excited to see your car next weekend, are you going to the Courtesy Nissan car show as well?

111, just another day in the office in Texas. I made a little progress on my car today, still behind getting it to the inspection point. I am soooo looking forward to the day I can drive it on the road!

Once I get my brake booster situation situated, ill be ready to hit the road! I like the map you have going, will there be check points on it like an autocross or is it a, go as fast as you can route?
  13. Can't beat free!

I agree, we need to get some planning done and setup the Z GREAT TEXAZ road rally 2011!! Maybe we could have an event at the new Formula 1 track in Austin next year??
  15. I to would jump on a good deal for a Vette, even if it's not the most desirable model. seems like those cars can only be found in pristine condition or X-derby racers down here.
  16. Haha isn't that the truth, maybe some Porsche 911 emblems, those are good cars no matter what year you pick!
  17. I think so, it might only be a 25k boost but dont quote me on that.
  18. I know it's not a Datsun, but i just had to share it with you guys. A friend of mine pulled into his college campus one morning and someone with a large amount of intelligence and a yellow MR2, had parked in the "select parking." He had a bunch of Lamborghini emblems on the car as well. You should of seen the crowd around the car, people were saying things like, "How can he afford this?" or, "This car is worth at least 100k." Others were taking photos of the car because it was such a rare thing to see. So if any of you guys need an instant 100k increase in you cars value go get some Lambo emblems and slap them on.

Ill have to take some pics of it for you, I think almost all the Zs there will be at Courtesy. Are you bringing yours?

Is the entire wheel different from the factory one? Just wondering because I've seen guys around here do leather wraps to Z cars (newer ones) and was trying to figure out if wrapping a stock wheel with leather and other materials to beef up the size would give that comp look.

That is my dream as well. I hear Arne and others around the Oregon region going on Z drives and shows all the time. There are quite a bit of us Z guys with older cars around here, a meet for these s30s wouldnt be a bad idea especially if i get to drive my Z all around Texas :) Oh by the way I am in love with your car, That exhaust setup is truly music to my ears!

David, sounds like you have a pretty cool Z, I know a few of us guys from around here will be at the Cars and Coffee meet 9-3-11, and the Courtesy Nissan car show that following Monday. You should plan on going. I won't be showing the 240z yet, but I am bringing my little red Porsche. Ill be hanging around it so come by and see it and we can talk about our Zs. As for sound/heat barriers go, I've always heard Dynomat ( it looks like thick foil paper) is a good choice for that, easy to install and you can find it at any swap meet around here or parts store. My antenna mast has been broken off as well in storage, Pepboys has an antenna in the same style but I am not for sure it will work Used ones are almost impossible to locate and judging from my broken mast I dont think it can be fixed. I have read about the blower motor upgrade on this form, however I haven't really messed with it yet. Look around on Craigslist for that lower valance, right now there are a few 240 parts cars in Dallas that stand a good chance having what you need. Chase

Forgot you had a 73 with two fuel pumps sounds like you got it all figured out.
  25. Fuel delivery issue? I would check the floats like madkaw said. I had that issue as well, my car would idle in the driveway for a bit then when I look off down the road it would run out of gas and studder for fuel. Maybe double check the fuel system, I did and my 240z had a cracked outlet tube on the tank. Car looks great though!
