Pardon my ignorance (or lack of free time to read through 2500 posts), but I'm interested in getting a few pointers in fixing up my newly acquired Z. I have previously owned a 74 260z, but just bought a 75 260z FI. I've got a few questions as to what I should do first.
1. Fuel Injectors: I believe them to be original but cleaned and in good shape. Is there a popular upgrade that will assist in power or fuel economy? Is there a nice package set with high end fuel lines that can be purchased somewhere?
2. Front end: Little wobble, pretty common here. I purchased the poly-urethane set of bushings to replace, but i'd like to do the shocks as well. I see KYB and Tockico appear to be the popular choices. Any specific recommendations? I'm not looking to take it to the track, just have a solid ride all the way around.
3. Brakes: On my 260z, I did the toyota pickup brake conversion to upgrade to the 4 piston calipers in the front. Is that pretty much the best (or efficient/cheap) way to upgrade the front end? Is it worth ever worrying about changing from drum to disc in the back?
4. Fender rub: I have a custom front bumper, but I can't turn the wheels too much without catching a little rub on the fender. Any fix here without having to purchase some thin/ugly little rims?
5. Any other important fixes/upgrades you guys think I should make?
I appreciate the input! I've attached a link to check out a picture of the Z. Not bad for what I paid for it.
