 your not a newbie right? All i can say look is at tha expression on my face. My jaw is dropped and my eyes are blinking. Then look at these pics. The center part with the numbers up to 60 on it is suppose to spin I think making it your Lap counter The gold box is the oscillator for the two knob Lap Counter Clock as the one knob Calender Clock has an internally built oscillator, or so i've been told by the Z Clock guy. ~Z~

STARTED THIS FOR FUN Ok folk, who has any DATSUN DEALERSHIP SIGNS they like to share ! Here goes some pics of mine. Got it from Chicago and made in Kentucky. It's about ('2 by '3 1/2) feet, with three strobe or "office" lights running lengthwise on the inside. Plugs in with a normal electrical wall cord! So get 'em out of those attics, dust 'em off and lets see pics and hear about 'em ! ! ~Z~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ RB WAY 2B

Good point. The one car I like the most when I was a kid, (I am allowed to say this), is the 1938 Phantom Corsair, now located in Las Vegas American Auto Meuseum I believe. It was an all Black car built in the 1930's off a Cord Chassis by an auto engineer named Rust Heinz who was essentially the same type of cat as Tucker was but only 20 years earlier. Rust wanted to make a Revolutionary brand new car with nothing but the best art deco streamline styline. He designed the Phantom Corsair to look like something as long as a 1930's Bugatti, low like a dropped Z and aero dynamically styled like a arrow. With vented hood slats, long sloping hatch from front windshild to the rear bumper and all the windows including the front that looked like a Choped '49 Mecury Hot Rod which came out 15+ years later! Oh yes, it had wheel covers on all four.... wait a minute, here goes a photo, mo info http://www.tias.com/7760/PictPage/1922007630.html?mall=%2Fstores%2Fstev;itemKey=1922007630;store=%2Fstores%2Fstev;catId=Transportation-Automotive-Cars;itemNo=PAT0816BB4 http://en.allexperts.com/e/p/ph/phantom_corsair.htm Well the story goes, from the book I read, was that since Rust was so ahead of his someone broke into his house looking to steal the desing plans to the prototype and killed Rust in the processe of doing so. Not sure if ever found the plans though. After that the idea of Rust's dream car ended leaving the prototype as the only Phontom Corsair built. one mean peice of rolling ART ! ~Z~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ THY SHALL NOT COVEAT THY NEIGHBORS PARTS

OK BOYS AND CHICKS ! BARE WITH ME..... I just got off the lock with a friend of mine in Japan and he tells me he may know of a stash of FAIRLADY Z RALLY CLOCKS in a warehouse chillin. Problem is he needs the parts numbers of the clocks in order to look them up in the computer and see if they have 'em ! The numbers he needs are 1. The two knob lap counter clock 2. The one knob calender clock 3. The oscillator for lap counter clock 4. The oscillator for calender clock He says he believes he actually seen the oscillators at least but says they look the same on the outside but built differently on the inside. which is why he needs both oscillator part numbers to know which oscillator goes to what clock. He's waiting on my reply with the Numbers so he can look them up and see what he can find. Please help guys as he's talking like they maybe have a few. CALLING ALL CARS ! ! ! ! ~Z~

THANKS I THOUGHT IT ODD THAT IT WOULD BE IN MPH MYSELF AS I GOT IT FROM BRITAIN AND THOUGHT THAT THEY, IF NOT ALL 240K OR SKYLINE CARS, WOULD HAVE JAPANESE METRIC GAUGES. Looking at the writing stlye on the box i figure it have to've been written by some one who knows KANJI or HIRAGANA. There or jus to many similarites especially when looking at the 240K and GT part. Interesting enough also the speed limit of the car in Kilometers is also it's name ! Only if there was a way to tell it's mfg date. I only now of one website, RATDAT.COM , That might give some insight as you said about production dates and different styles of gauges. But it's pretty spares on 240K's and Skylines. http://www.ratdat.com/technical/partnumbers/partnumbers.html ~Z~

YO ! I'M NOT SURE IF THIS THE RIGHT THREAD FOR THIS OR NOT BUT DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT YEAR OR YEARS THIS SPEEDO GOES TO? It's marked for a C110 Skyline and 240K GT. I looked up the part number and it matched but does not say for what year. Was looking to put it in a B210 with an SR20DETT but the B210 was sold and I'm thinkin of maybe selling the speedometer. Any help would be gratefull. ARIGATO GOZAIMASU ~Z~

PRETTY SWEET RB is tha way 2B HA HAAAAA HA HA HAA HAAAA ! JCSS? WHAT, WHEN AND WHERE IS THAT? i think i'd like to go. Heh, can you tell me if this NOS Speedo is for this year / body style of GC110? It's marked for C110 AND 240K GT. I picked it up hoping to throw it in 1978 B210 but the car was sold before I could get my hands on it. Thought about taking out the Blue LED lens to use in a 240Z but I figured I shouldn't mess with it's NOS'ness

    Hmmmmm.... POTENTIAL FO SHO !
  20. Yeah I'm feeling you on that, that a '70 Z is best left stock. But my only dream now is to a have a '70 Z with a R34 RB26DETT GT-R engine in it I was seriously looking at that peticular Z only because it didn't have the original engine in it and ~in hind sight~ the hatch wasn't original either. Meaning i could ad a wing or spoiler to it without having to drill on a '70 hacth. Had i been thinking about a parts car for it I might of got it, but a car from San Francisco with that kind of surface rust usually means a whole lot of rust in hidden areas. But i trusted the guys description and tha extra pics he sent me backed it up. Jus wasn't sure how much money in body work I'd have to spend cause I never actually had to restore a car before and my local body shop was on vacation. But if the oppertunity should arise again I'll jump at it ~Z~
  21. Hmmm... You do make a point. That did sound kinda rediculous, maybe i should switch out for monster truck rims. A nice set of 82's should do ! ~Z~
  22. added the link :stupid: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160069396004&rd=1,1
  23. Cubs fan hunh? I was born in Vancouver, WA and have family there. I was raised mostly in Indianapolis Indiana and had my first beer when i was 8 with my Great Grandpa watching a Cubs Game! I love Cubs ! And yes, it all makes since now, time for me to do some ~MAD~ calculations! I jus missed this on EBAY. It has rust and stuff but i was wondering if i could get ya's oppinion on wheater or not it was a good deal. I was think about dropping a GT-R engine in it untill i came across a 260Z i saw for the same price but in better condition. I figured if I waited for another 1970 240Z, I could find one in better shape and save the money on body work I would of spent on this one and spend it on parts instead. Somethings telling me to kick myself though http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=006&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=160069396004&rd=1,1 ~Z~
  24. WOW ! jus found out thyat with 18 inch Tenzo Racing rims the speeds come out at 8000 RPM as (49, 78, 111, 149, 171 MPH !) with 4.37 Diff (58, 92, 131, 172, 201 MPH) with 3.70 Diff Yeah, think ima get those Tenzo's ^_~
  25. THYANX NIGE Thats vey interesting but i really don't grab tha concecpt of gears to well yet, Is that the lower the numbers the taller the gears or is it reverse? I know that on old Railroad Steam Engines the rule was the taller the driving wheels were the quicker and faster the top speed would be. Thats why all passenger train engines had big wheels so they could go from city to city with the least amount of time. Competition betwen Train companys was fierce in tha 1930's and 1940's and times fell like rocks as wheels became ridiculously huge! What i'm trying to get at is that your saying If i had bigger rims on my Z my top end would be faster? If so (or) not, what would be the problem witt having a 4.37 rear end? ~Z~
