if you swapped logos on the sides & steering wheel, how would you know ? besides...do you think our 280s would be welcomed at an Infinity meeting ?

I was looking through the MSA catalog, and it says that the master & slave cylinders should be replaced in pairs. why is that ? is this just MSA trying to get me to spend more money ? has anyone ordered the VB slave cylinder repair kit ? what exactly is in this kit ? wouldn't it just be easier to replace the whole part ?

last weekend I had to bleed the clutch on my 78 280. while going through the process, I noticed I have a slight leak at the operating cylinder. I searched the archives to figure out how difficult/expensive this little problem will be to fix, but could find no mention of this part. I saw plenty mention of a "slave cylinder", but nothing about an "operating cylinder". I am assuming that these are the same part ??? The anwser may be obvious to some out there, but to me it's not. thanx in advance for any clarification.

this guy used to run the entire 15 magazine lot as a set deal. i picked a set up about 7 months ago from him on ebay - $100 for the whole lot. the mags are great, and all are in excellent condition.

my 78 has the same "void" on the console. the original owner manual doesn't show a use for it. i always figured it was just a place to add you own toggle switch, like for fog lights, or something.

my To Do list for the Z - 1) get the Z out of California. my Uncle Sam should grant me this wish by the end of August. 2) redo the interior carpeting 3) fix the door locks so I can lock/unlock with the key ! 4) steam clean the engine compartment. i'm curious to see what it looks like without all the dirt, grime and oil everywhere. 5) new exhaust system There will be more, but this is what comes to mind for now.

i recently installed a full cap on my Z. bought the full cap from Victoria British. installation was a snap. i took some pics and posted them to my Z site http://www.geocities.com/mar2c/dash.html GOOD LUCK !!

I bought and installed the full cap from VB as well, and have had no problems with it. I'm sure it's probably the same one MSA sells, only cheaper. installation was very easy. just had to pull the steering wheel. a little carpenter's adhesive on the underside, and I was good to go. the finished product can be seen as one of the pics in my gallery.

Just wondering if anyone had run across any of the 350Z commercials while surfing the web. i'm particularly interested in the commercial that shows all the old Zs with the vanity tags. does anyone have this one anywhere ?

I was at the gym the other day, and on 1 of the TVs they had an old episode of Knight Rider on. First scene of the show some guy driving a 280 was pushed off the side of a cliff ! Later on in the same episode there was an "action" scene filmed on the top level of a parking garage. There was a 280 ZX there as one of the 3 cars in the scene. I also find myself looking for Zs when old reruns of CHiPs is on !
