I was able to continue using the blue connector but the Green White (lights) and the Blue Red (wipers) next to it needed to be cut and run outside the connector since that corner melted beyond saving. I also took the time to cut out everything that is not in use going to those harnesses which cleaned up that area alot!  10 hours ago, Zed Head said: Nasty.  And this all was happening while you owned and drove it?  They used to work, and were slowly failing?  The old PO trap.  Scary.  Makes me want to go do some preventive examination on my car. Yep, had it for a few years now but failure was all very sudden. 200 miles on the new engine and one early morning it was all gone. All the lights were bright enough until the day it failed. I knew it was a mess, I was waiting to do a rewire to fix it all. I guess that was waiting too long. I imagine all the bad connectors were generating a small amount of intermittent draw all along but not enough to present a problem. I'm sure after some spirited driving with the new engine that 'duct' (or what's left of it) found its way into the mix and the the draw was enough to heat up the circuit slowly but not enough to blow the fuse. September 8, 20168 yr Author comment_502738 I had a great day at Z topia on Sunday. Put in 160+ miles with no lighting issues either way. The L28 cruises really well.
