A/C Question

Ok, the A/C in my car has been disconnected and discharged for as long as I have owned it, and as long as the previous owner has owned it as well(since 1984). I am doing a restoration on the car and have removed everything to sandblast the body. I dont have any intention of putting the A/C back in and have identified all the wires and components involved. My question: Is the heater blower and the A/C blower shared, or are there two seperate ones. Do I have to find a heater from a non A/C car and install it? This is an early 1974 Canadian model 260Z. I am guessing this has been done before so tehre will be someone out there who can help me. Thanks!
