Posted December 31, 200816 yr comment_269922 I don't understand why my 1977 datsun 280z Floods.....It starts up fine but it floods when running which causes the engine not to open up right...does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it? December 31, 200816 yr comment_269932 Several possibilities. Leaking injector(s), leaking cold start valve, bad thermotime switch, bad water temperature sensor, etc. There's no a single answer based on the information you gave. You should look through the troubleshooting section in the Engine Fuel section of the factory service manual. If you don't already have one, here's a link. http://www.xenons30.com/files/FSM/77_datsun_280z.pdf.gz Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/30375-flooding-when-running/#findComment-269932 Share on other sites
