Brown carpet dye?

I have a 1977 280Z with brown carpet. The exact color name is unknown to me. The rear is a little faded, has anyone ever had luck recoloring the brown carpet before to reflect the original color? If so what did you use (product) and the exact color you used, also any tips will be appreciated on the best process with 30 year old carpet.
