Can an East Coaster get a set of eyes?

Featured Replies

Hello to all of ya'll on the Left Coast. My dream Z has popped up in SoCal. San Clemente (Between LA and SD) to be exact. Could I sweet talk anyone out there into taking a close look at her for me, you know, check all the usuals? It would be a huge favor  . I will be in Northern California Mid February for a month and could pick the car up then, or I might even have it shipped ASAP, if it's in good enough shape.

Please let me know if this is possible

Nate

Where is the car located?

EDIT: :stupid: I guess if I had read the original post......

That's still a pretty good distance from me. About 70 miles with a couple of toll roads.

Too far for me, about 500 miles... If I was closer I would.

Ares240Z, it looks like Nate have come up with a different plan and no longer needs an extra 'set of eyes.'

Hey guys,

you are correct. I've decided to do what I always said I wouldn't do... Purchase a car without seeing it first. I've got a good repor with the guy and he has sent me a lot of pics. I'm arranging shipping tomorrow.

Thanks for the help guys

Nate

I bought mine of ebay. Guy had lots of pics. Flew to CA to drive it home.Car drove and looked great. NO rust and all original. I purchased it and took off for Oregon. When I went to fill it up before hitting the freeway, gas started to leak out of the filler tube. I drove it with gas fumes for about 2 hours before it stopped leaking. After that I only filled it to the 2/3 mark. NO more LEAKS. I wondered why he had not filled the tank. DUH! That was the only problem with the exception of NO brake lights and NO license plates. Made it home w/o being stopped.
