  1. Couple pics of the hatch area. Dark spots are just dirt. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  2. That's awesome. Love that color. I feel a little better now... I thought you drove it away in perfect condition. I think I did pretty well on price despite not being able to turn it over. Oil and tranny fluid look really clean. I'm going to flush the fuel lines and try firing it up. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  3. Wow! Was it in that condition when found?? Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  4. Definitely. The pics did hide the passenger front fender having a dent and the front bumper pushed in a little bit into the headlight bucket. Must have been a little love tap because nothing cracked. The lower valance is toast, I think they had a strap on it when it was being towed once. Last registration was 1988 and it moved from garage to garage with the family I bought it from. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  5. That's great. I will reach out to him. I'm really happy with it so far. The more closely I look at it the better it is. The rear hatch area is spotless, original spare and cover, zero rust! I did find a touch of rust in the driver's floor and driver front fender well near the frame rail. So far so good! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  6. Maybe I misinterpreted what I read. Does that mean it's a dealer installed option? Everything seems aged the same for the interior bits and hoses under the hood. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  7. Thanks for the feedback...Another question that has me perplexed. The car is factory a/c and I read the chassis plate should be near the drier. I can't find a chassis plate anywhere! All the details of the car check out with the previous owner and I'm convinced she never changed the engine, but the passenger fender was replaced due to a minor fender bender. Oddly there appears to be black paint on both sides of the engine bay when I can clearly see the original factory white paint throughout the interior. The chassis stamp on the firewall matches the dash plate and matches the door plate, so all good there. Any thoughts on what could have happened? Any other places the plate could be hiding? Thanks. Also, Can you link to your Flickr? I couldn't find it on the app I'm using. Thanks! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  8. Money always talks [emoji2] but I'm looking forward to restoring it! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  9. Sounds very similar. I've decided to keep all original. I just can't bring myself to modify it. My wife likes the car, so we might end up with his and hers and I'll modify mine. First up is getting it running! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  10. Want to sell them back to someone that needs them for their 240?? [emoji2] I just posted a WTB for red original 240 seats. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  11. Before I reupholster my seats I was wondering if anyone happens to have a pair of great condition, original red seats. I know it's a long shot but thought I'd try! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  12. Finally got it home today! Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks for the feedback. It is unmodified other than swapping the carbs out, but it came with the original as well. It's a 2 owner car. 2nd owner bought with 11,000 miles on it. Now it has sat in garage since 1988. Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  14. Does the VIN know if it's a manual or automatic? Not looking to hide anything but I'm curious if there is a way to know if someone swapped Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
  15. Anyone have other thoughts? Or had cars appraised? If you had 3 of the same identical cars but the tranny was the only difference what would the value change? 1. Original Auto 2. Swapped to 240 4spd 3. Swapped to 280 5spd Sent from my XT1650 using Tapatalk
