Luckily, I was born into a very Datsun Ohana. I grew up in Hayward, CA. Then, a little suburb existing quietly in the shawdow of Oakland and San Francisco. My car-guy uncle owned and operated The Z Surgeon on East 14th Street during the 80's and 90's. I started off doing odd jobs and answering phones in my teens to payroll and bookkeping as a young adult. My first car was a Datsun, 1972 510 that my uncle souped up and modified for me. My first boyfriend had a Z and went to the Senior Prom in it. Forget Limo's. Needless, to say, that was a long time ago and my uncle has long since retired to Hawaii.  Over the years, ive had a 1980 510 , a 210 wagon, cute little truck. Nowdays, seeing a Datsun is few and far between but I always appreciate the rare sighting of little cars that could. And did.
