  1. Landon, I know this is rather late, but congratulations on the Z! I'll be sending you a private message with a few questions. Robert S.
  2. Frank, Like the others, I'm sorry for your loss but thankful you were not severly hurt in the wreck. Hope you can find another Z to fill the void. It would be interesting to know who bought old 721: https://www.autobidmaster.com/carfinder-online-auto-auctions/lot/14509262/COPART_1970_DATSUN_240Z_TX_SC_HOUSTON/
  3. Welcome to the board Emily! There's a 1976 280Z just down the road from my house which I considered buying, but the rust is so bad underneath it would take a team of welders to repair! The car spent most of its life in Iowa, however for a short time it was in Marietta, GA. You aren't too far from my old stomping grounds in Chattanooga! You'll find a lot of great people here and more information that you can retain! Robert S.

Welcome David! Looks like you have a good project!
  5. Adam, So sorry to hear about your loss! It made me sick to see the damage to your Z! At the very least the shipping company will reimburse the cost of the car and shipping. Hopefully they don't try to pass the cost of the impound lot on to you too! This Z still has a lot of good parts, so hopefully someone pick this up. Robert S.

Seeking Help to Inspect 240Z in Ft. Collins, CO Hello Guys, Is anyone in the Ft. Collins, CO area available to inspect a 240Z for me? I talked to the owner this morning, but would like photos of the car before making a decision to drive from Iowa to get it. The last attempt to buy a car from Colorado fell through when the owner backed out and 30 Ounce was kind enough to help me out. He will be available on Tuesday, but I wondered if anyone else could visit sooner. Thanks! Robert S.

It's ironic that you posted this article. I was thinking about the Nissan USA 240Z restoration program from the late 90's and wondered if Nissan would ever re-introduce the 240Z like GM brought back the Camaro and Challenger. Of course the "reinvented" 240Z would be a much different car in terms of mechanics and weight, but it could retain the same body and interior styling from the 70's. The 370ZX has morphed into a vehicle that doesn't really resemble the Z line anymore, and I'd like to see the classic 70's look make a come back! Robert S.
  8. Paul, Thanks for sharing your story! I haven't had time to read the entire blog yet, but really enjoyed the small details you encorporated into the account. It reminded me of when I moved back to Iowa from Florida 5 years ago. I was stuck just north of Valdosta, GA at 2am after one of the trailer bearings went out and the tire blew! Glad you made it safely through Iowa and glad to have another Z in the Midwest! Robert S.
  9. It looks like the 240Z has Libre style wheels. If these are the "original" American Racing wheels, they are difficult to find and cost around $400 - $500 in fair condition. Even if they are knock-offs, they still run $50 each in fair condition. The 240Z will be worth more in the end, so my vote is for the 240! Robert S.

Brandon, Congratulations on your first Z purchase! I am still looking for a 240Z to restore, but it's exciting when someone else makes a good find! Also, I see you are in the software industry. I'm a software engineer myself! Look forward to seeing your progress on the Z and sorry about your mishap with the deer! Robert s.
