Greetings from Grenada
Many Ferrari parts came from the Fiat parts bins-including the front indicators-available on ebay most of the time for less than $15 us a side. The taillight lenses I used are from a Fiat 850 coupe, I got the last set Bayless could find in the USA, and ordered several euro spec sets from Epoca Car in Italy. The reverse light is a stand alone bolt on to the rear skirt. PM me your email, and I will get together some other particulars for you. Will

Hi there.
Welcome! Be forewarned, Zitus is highly contageous! Where are you? If you are 'newbie to the Z", you might need some local help in evaluating one. Look around, be sure to check out the search engine, it gives you access to a wealth of what to look for and what to avoid in finding the right Z for you. Will

What is Rice?
What exactly is Rice! I'm not talking about a Mahatma/Watermaid product dried and packed in a plastic bag at the grocery store or the 50 lb variety offered at Sams, Costco or others. I am talking about automitive rice. What constitutes or defines it as rice? Post your thoughts...and examples...as long as they are not too pornographic... Will

mystery wheels
Cromoroda made the 4 lug variety to fit Fiat and Alpha, it stands to reason that someone copied them to fit other than the 4/100 patern of the Italians. Will

Read the second sentance in the previous post out loud-you obviously missed it! The entire post is about the situation in his car-not every 280z. I think you misunderstood what he was saying. Will

The worst problem I have had with my Z is:
The only painful part is the time it will take to finish the Painless one with parts from the painful one-after painfully paying for the painless one-making it painful-instead of painless...I think! Will

Anyone want a $500 parts car?
Stephen, I think maybe Davids' thought was the vin had been changed to that of a turbo car-to let the Questionable car lot sell it for more. David did say he forgot to write down the stamped vin to check. Will The changes in the car could have been made to modify,or take care of an overheating(after adding the turbo) or a impact problem.

Upgrading my Z to a 91TT
John, the only consideration I can add is the cost of ownership. Many of the replacement parts for a 300TT are crazy expensive-finding one at Cash and Cary is a pipe dream-I have NEVER seen one there! I was tempted by the 300TT as well, but NOT for a daily driver, for a fair weather car-meaning the mileage would not change much in several years-keeping potentail repair costs low. Having said that, I am sure the smile you got from driving the car will be harder to ignore than any potential pitfalls. The TT will show you how slow and old Betty really is. Will
