On the seats, I think it would be easier to push the air through the seat than to pull it, but when thinking about it, there seem to be two situations to deal with. 1) non permeable upholstery(leather/Vinyl). the flexable plenum would be setup to remove heat from the upholstery by pulling air through a pathway bound on one side by the upholstery and on the other another non-permeable membrane held apart by a very permeable media for the air to flow through that would not be subject to collapse/crushing from being sat on. Or use perforated upholstery. 2) Cloth upholstery. A flexable plenum just under the cloth upholstery made much like an airhockey table(lots of small vents to allow air into the upholstery fabric). Works even with skin contact to the upholstery. This would be pretty easy to add to existing seats! Will

    oops! !
  4. MSA is in business to make money-as much as fast as possible. They adjust their price to make the turns and the margin they want. Don't hate them for it, just realize supporting Z owners is not their charity, it is their buisness. Will

This is an interesting idea, the worries to me are the noise a fan with suitable flow would generate uinder the seat, and the air path under/through the upholstery(how it would be kept open when the hiney is in the seat). I don't think it would be too difficult to work out something. Will
  6. Some of the spoilers have bonded in risers or areas for screws to bite into through the sheet metal, some have holes for access that are filled after installation, and some are just bonded on using epoxy resin
  7. They are slightly different in the seals that were used, but they do fit. Will
  8. hls30.com posted a gallery image in Big Z Photo Collection
  9. Did I miss a picture of the caps you are after in this thread? WIll
  10. John, One you forgot-but is in line with the rice value of #6! 7) Drum brakes keep your wheels MUCH cleaner. Will
  11. Yep, same mirror. Those mirrors are still available from the dealer-I paid $67 earlier this year. Will
  12. Here are a coulpe of the "fit" pictures of the fierro seats in the Z-I cropped out most of the seat to concentrate on fit detail. If you want something pictured differently, just let me know. Will
  13. as loong as it didn't look more like a laced wheelskin cover than a factory leather covered steering wheel(the leather on the factory steering wheel in my Dodge 1500 Quadcab is beautifully done). WIll
  14. J..ust unbelieveable? Will
  15. Sorry, I didn't even notice that we were talking in the wrong forum-oops! Will
  16. OOPs! I knew they were from a second brand of a familiar manufacturer-sorry for the misinformation...should have verified befor posting. Will PS, I'll post some "fit" pictures of the Fierro seats in a bit.
  17. Welcome! Congratulation! Post some pictures and pull up a chair! Will
  18. There have been many seats fitted into S30s. I put a set of Fierro Seats in my 240Z(check for the red Z tan interior in my gallery), and seats from BMWs, Hondas, and VWs in other S30a. Carl Beck has a good article on Zhome on putting Infinity or Lexus seats in his Z. A member in Vz has put 300ZX seats in his car. I am sure there are others in addition to the aftermarket seats that are available. Will
  19. Wait until the car figures out that there is yellow in every color except white-Seriously, Oregon is looking like a great state for Zs! Will
  20. ok, you are no longer a member:stupid: , but as a non-member, we will extend to you all of the indicators of membership, all of the benefits, rules and discounts, but all of the members know you aren't really a member-are we better now? ! BTW, If you choose not to accept our non-membership, every member will go out of his or her way to tell your car that you have hidden a huge wad of cash in the house, this will result in poor running, horrible fuel economy, outrageous oil consumption, tires that won't hold air long enough for you to go to the bathroom, wipers that don't work, a host of electrical problems, air conditioning-who are you kidding, lights that blink when they shouldn't and are constant when they should blink, billowing smoke and bakfires from the tail pipe, and a smell in the car you won't believe-and that is before you try to take anyone else for a ride! Obviously you should have chosen silliness in the threads... Will
  21. Has this come on all of a sudden? Has the car been in storage? If you open the fuel cap how does the gas smell? What color is the exhaust coming out of the tail pipe? What color are the plugs? Picture of the plugs... With no more info, I will suggest this: Put a fuel pressure gage in the fuel line on the fuel rail side of the under hood filter under the hood, sounds like your may have a fuel delivery problem, not caused by the pump-most probably junk in the tank/lines. Will
  22. I have used clear POR to make sure rust doesn't come back, it is every bit as good as the colored variety, and just as you allude, will take care of the area while leaving it "open" for inspection. Just make sure you try it on a piece of unimportant sheet metal first, getting the clear to show propery is a bit trucky(the sheet metal must be absolutely clean, and the rust must be gone, or it can look worse from the visual "wetting" effect of clear). Try it on a couple of pieces of scap first-you will be happier with your results with practice. Will
  23. I have played with the EFI, but never stripped off the emissions equipment-I think you might be better off trying to find the answer to that one on HybridZ. The other suggestions I have are 1) Unplug and see what happens 2) Check the FSM for trouble shooting engine problems that contain references to the emissions system. I am sure it can be done, but not of the complication involved-though there are only two or three sensors involved at the most. Will
  24. Would you mind posting pictures of your mirrors, more often than not(ALWAYS) the matching mirrors have turned out to be the same mirror with the flag rotated. The passenger side mirror is really a manipulated drivers side mirror. I have looked and conversed with everyone at Nissan USA that would return a phone call, letter, fax. or a shout in the parking lot, and never found even a part number for one-unless you aren't talking aout the ones on this and many other threads I have jumped into: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17716&highlight=usa+members Thanks, Will
