  1. Mike, Are you considering making the hood, or the cover that attatches to it(labeled "Hood Vent" in the Nissan drawing you posted)? I am interested in the vent, but don't need an entire hood. Will
  2. BillyRick, Not that you need any excuse to visit the Boobs thread... Will

Most Excellent, I never thought of excluding sellers. KenshinX Typing what you are looking for does not allowing listings from sellers who don't know exactly what they have-I have bought some very rare parts that were advertised horribly-the last being a NOS '72 console for $28 including shipping... Will
  6. Sorry guys, I have had and responded to so may PMs on these I confused my self into thinking I had posted about it. Here is the story. I paid a company to produce durable molds for the plexi and stamping dies for the stainless. After several revisions of the molds and dies, the company (in Mexico) went bust before they returned the materials to me. I retained a lawyer to attempt to get them back, and only recently stopped that attempt. I have spent just shy of 13k to have permanent aluminum molds made for the covers and dies made for the stainless(including legal fees)and have only cancelled checks to show for it. That has left a bad taste in my mouth (and a hollow feeling in my wallet) that has helped me to deside that all of the "extras" I intend to make will come after my car is finished as I originally intended. I have quite a list of "extras" almost ready, but working on them keeps pushing my ability to complete and drive my car further and further off. So they are all now officially on the back burner until I get some road time ion my Z! It is still hanging on the rotisserie, waiting... with a big bunch of highly organized NOS and restored parts collecting dust along with several boxes of yet to be restored parts. I want to be posting pictures of progress again, and actually enter my 240Z in the MSA show next year. I want to drive my 240Z to shows, not the Volvo I will be driving to Zfest, or a rental. I intend to get right back into all of the projects as soon as the car is complete, and I have not lost the enthusiasm for them, but put them back into proper pecking order. That said, some of the parts will be developed as I get to needing them, for instance, the hatch hinge boots. A member loaned me a used set to make molds from, and I have since gotten a NOS pair to work with. Once I paint the car-or mabe slightly before-I will get those made, and make them available to as needed after the car is complete. The point of making the parts is to add to our cars-not our collection of parts which right now is exactly what I have. I will finish the car and then develop and make the "extras" and make them (including the JDM headlight covers) available to everyone. I hope you all understand, and can appreciate my situation. Will
  7. Your Z knows:finger: ...hope she doesn't take it the wrong way:eek: . WIll
  8. I see that my last post is somewhat confusing. I had a dash restored, the job was done, but not well, appropriate cleaning measures were not taken before the cover was put on-that is to say the foam was corrected well, but the debris from forming it was not cleared off the dash before the covering was applied resulting in several irregulatities in the surface. My dash was among the first several they did, and their quality should have improved. I have never heard of any issues at all from the Australian company, but there have been several threads on many different forums about similar issues to those I had. The did have very good response time to reacting to other issues, but the quality of the restoration was not what I expected. Will
  9. My galery has pictures of a NOS dash and a USA dash restoration. I think they can do good work, mine was one of the first. Will
  10. Those wheels do look sharp! It is a pretty car now-I cann only imagine how beautiful it will be when you finish! Will
  11. Hadn't thunka that! Great idea for a cosmetic rust bucket that is sound. There were some great pics with a 240Z side by side with a 200gt on the roadster forum the other day-excellent to see them together. WIll
  12. Tomohawk, No wonder you don't have a girlfriend anymore-there's no room! Just kidding, I have been to Ohio, and I understand. I drove from Dayton to the Cincinatti Airport in a rainstorm so bad, I pulled off, missed my flight and witnessed three wrecks-at least one of which was fatal-with so many drivers with more confidence than good sence and respect for others, it stands to reason you are on your own! Obviously not everone in Ohio has these issues. WIll
  13. Thanks, This was years ago, the car is gone, but the memories and anger linger.... As apparently do the bidding and hiring practices.... Willl
  14. My take is I would rather be the one doing the repairing or loading than the jack of all cars, master of none, that the lowest bidder on the service to the autoclub got cheep without checking references because of the turnover in just over a minimum wage job. At least around here. I really don't want a somone who i didn't choose even hauling my Z. The last and only time I had a Z towed it was my blue 2+2 which blew a two week old radiator hose at 85mph on I-16 about 2 miles from the turn off for Metter. GA. at 10.34pm. I had AAAplus(at that time upto 100 miles free towing and road side assistance). After walking a mile or so in the rain to the next ramp and calling no less than six times from the station during my 4 hour and 53 minute wait, the roll back picked up the car first, before getting me, and in the process tore off my front air dam, flatspotted my tires, and destroyed my rear valence, a bumper shock, and mutilated two of the three pieces of rubber filler on a '76 rear bumper. I thought someone had hit my car as it sat by the side of the road when I first saw it on the truck when the driver came to get me. We won't get into what happened next because my blood is beginning to boil now. Anyway, I will not allow a repeat of that painful and expensive situation. Will
  15. all of them that I have seen are the yellow zinc Chromate-or were at one time.
  16. Wasn't he also the one who: figured out how to slice bread, had direct influence in the gass filler design, gave the the reason the 260Z lived so long everywhere but the USA, figured out how get instant history (letters of accomplishments), and other perks, through threat of litigation, and figured out single handedly that his own actions would be solely responsable for much of the thrust of 60s/70s British humor(Sarcasm)? In his defense, doens't sharing a planet with the ones who actually did the work count for something? Weren't most 60s-70s Nissans graced with a cap to handle every market(spelled "large")? Will
  17. The only things I can think of are: a body kit with 240Z size bumpers molded in. flares that aren't so obviously add ons-the etypish one is the closest. Will

  23. The commcon ways to enrich the micxture on the efi cars are two: 1) add a potentiometer to the temperature sensor(so you can have it report a colder temp to add more fuel) if it is there it will be the only stand alone electronic control under the hood9probably fairly near the thermostat housing), and would just have to be adjusted to back off fiel delivery. The second way is to open up the AFM and pgysucally bend the arm of the potentiometer in it-pull the glied on cover off, and look for a bent rod. once you find it, carefully bend it straight again, and that should take care of it, by watching the samethings you are watching now, you will know if you nave a little further to bend... Will
  24. I've bought several NOS parts from them-most recently a NOS fuse box cover with a NOS blanking plate. Their service is very good. Will
  25. Didn't you notice? His pimp hat is missing! Will
