Most foam filters are less efficient than their paper counterparts-too much restriction not enough filtering-your results show the restriction problem. To keep the foam in place cut some hardware cloth and form it to the right contour and place it under the foam to support it. I would do that and then do something really crazy, call Weiand and KNN and see if they have a paper or propper foam filter to fit your application. Will
