  1. You should have started with 100, the grooves in those wheels are deeep! With 400, you will be there untill the battery cables you use on your RC stuf quit conducting electricity! Will
  2. Tomohawk, you started with paper that is too fine. Will
  3. Wow, that really looks sharp! Sounds like a job for photoshop(to help you figure it out by seeing what they would look like). Will
  4. Have you contacted Weiland directly? They could have a box in the store room that... Will
  5. Most foam filters are less efficient than their paper counterparts-too much restriction not enough filtering-your results show the restriction problem. To keep the foam in place cut some hardware cloth and form it to the right contour and place it under the foam to support it. I would do that and then do something really crazy, call Weiand and KNN and see if they have a paper or propper foam filter to fit your application. Will
  6. I don't see where they make molds for products other than their own. Always worth asking though! Will
  7. I've not been maried 30 years, I guess that only leaves.... Will
  8. Gadzooks, Your right, where did it go-oopswith thte first wife...she got it allROFL Will
  9. Well, thats three or four! I will probabaly take 2 depending on the quality/cost of the reproduction. Will
  10. Several members here would donate time and materials to another member to help with a restoration-I'm in that group. Having said that, It grates my nerves too when parts I gave away are sold (unless I am in the loop ahead of time), but that just means no more will follow those to that person. Victor recently offered a very restorable truck for free as long as it was to be restored and not parted or sold. If I ask someone to help me by checking out a car or piulling some parts, I make sure they aren't out anything but the time-I offer to pay for their travel, food, and incidentals, and then add something they weren't expecting. I offer because some people-myself included-get offended when someone won't accept a gift-and true help is a gift. Business do not offer help, they sell service. Will
  11. Any man who will give away a vehicle(even a Pickup) and most of the parts it needs for restoration does not need to be greviously singled out!-or at least any more than the grief I have given you in the past-(calls for pictures on a specific post of yours, ribs about the parts value of imported beer, and suchROFL ) Will
  12. I didn't even know he gragumtated! Congtrats! Now he is in a better place-a targetrich(oodles of Breats and Thights) environment! Wow-I'll have to PM the bugger! Will
  13. Using that procedure is better than using a multimeter because a multimeter will not subject the tested path to a load, which the filiment of a bulb does. Occasionally a connection(especially an old one, will ohm out good, but fail when a load is placed on it. Will
  14. Jack up a corner of the car. Securely tape a greese pencil to a jackstand and position it so it just touches the wheel. Spin the wheel and assuming your wheel bearings are good and installed correctly any variation in the resulting line widthe will indicate runout. Will
  15. What bothers me most is the disrespect these goobers that create spam threads for us, shovel into our garage. Do they really think we would buy anything after being so disrespected? It is like writing a message in a manicured lawn with grass killer to sell a lawnmower. On the bad info, hopefully someone steps in to politely correct it. On "people posting their desire to go 195 mph or whatever it was on the streets". Ultimately Darwin will take care of those disrespectful idiotts, and hopefully they won't take out the guy who would cure cancer, stop rust or sell me the next NOS Z piece I need in the process. On "the Carl Beck, Chris Wenzel, Alan Thomas debates/discussions", I just look at the pictures ... ...and drool profusely... after I have read every word three or four times. On "Bill Ramsey's country naiveity", I just picture him in that hat...and remember his sence of directionROFL , and post some "Breats and Thights" comment where even close to appropriate-or not. I have noticed the thread is posted before I have access to set up the poll, I kept wondering why there were posts to the thread before I finished the poll. Will
  16. While this club has terrific features that far outweigh any of the issues brought to light here, what is the sand in your shoes here? What is the worst of the best? Be specific, and include what you feel is missing, and would add to the outstanding experience!
  17. Interesting idea! Makes me go Hmmmm! Will
  18. Oh sure, I put up one to many posts on snail trails and you leave the Zs at home...All the way to Florida and you guys show up like me...Z-less:eek: Will
  19. \Unless you have a low vin, or an especially significant car with a verifiable history, condition is what should guide you. Check out the sheet metal and the numbers and go from there. Will
  20. MOM, Us yanks only got to taste 260Zx for a year then we got the efi 280Z USA had HLS30 70-73 and 75-78, RLS30 in '74 only You knew we were depri(a)ved didn't you? Will
  21. The only reason I didn't welcome you is you presented like a business, not like a member. While I have never driven down the street to welcome a new business to the area, I have run down the street to welcome a new neighbor. Members contibute to be helpful, businesses generally contribute to be compensated-even if indirectly. I do appologize if anything I have posted as come across as hostile, it was absolutely not my intention. At some point, I could easily be your customer. I am in the South East, and want my next project to be a rust free low vin 240Z. WILL
  22. I agree with you Mike, but if he couldn't tell by the vin that it was a 260, he probably can't read tail lights either-or he his hoping noone else can-the emblems would have told everyone-unless he changed them too.. IN making the starting bid and the BIN price the same he either priced it to sell fast(NOT!), or his parents (or wife) made him list the car...:stupid: I bet he doesn't call her a dog to her face... WIll
  23. As he is not the first owner, maybe there is a booboo on the title! No emblems on the car to give it away! WIll
  24. Your question! Most of the Zs here in Georgia are rusty, or put up! Will
  25. The vin tells the story-it is a 260Z. Will
