  1. Late 260 yes. early 260 probably you might have to swap the seat tracks, but I doubt it. Will
  2. Mike, Here is the thread http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=25585 see post #19 Maybe you'll see what the Pm'er saw and explain it to the rest of us... On that note, I hope my silliness in titling a couple of threads of late was not offensive to anyone-if so I appologize. Will
  3. Just be sure to leave a forwarding address with the post office for all of those brown paper wrapped packages... Will
  4. Jack, It sounds like yours is intermident, and could be repaired. I suggest you contact Zclocks and see what he has to say. He has noted that each of the rally clocks he has seen are different, but a bad connection is all it sounds like is wrong with yours. In terms of repairing yours, he is who I would send it to. I would send both the clock and the oscillator, so he could clean and lub the clock and verify a complete working assembly. Will
  5. Bill, Thanks for the link, I contacted them, but they said their entire inventory for the next year was bought by a CJ major from Vilonia:finger: ! Will payback for not letting your "Breats and Thights" fetish alone? Try again!
  6. Owning the car no, actually putting it on the road, yes! I wonder if his girlfriend or family will try to sue Nissan or the Dealer for Neglence? No car I am aware of has and "idiot behind the wheel detector" That backs off the gas and provides eletic shock therapy at the same time-but undoubtedly in someones eyes that accident was not the drivers fault, because he was 10 feet tall and bullet proof-too bad he took protection for a gun fight to a driving challenge... Atleast that moron didn't hurt anyone else-not like that was his doing either. Will
  7. Another Update! MikeM sent in a L20A, L24 Engine manual P/N99999-20015 1Bravo6 sent in a Hitachi Radio TM-1081ZD manaul, A copy of a Z magazine article, a Clarion Cassette PU-809B Manual, A Warranty and Service Booklet (WB5E-PO12GO), and a DATSUN MOTORIST CONVERSION SLIDE CHART! Thanks Guys! Will
  8. Here is a list of what we are still missing from the core of the project! FSMs 74, 76, 80, 81, 82 Owners manuals: 74, 75, 77, 78, 79, 80, 81 Almost anything from cross the pond... though we do have a few tings that have been scanned, and one that hasx been donated, but I am not having any luck obtaining permissin to use it from the person who originally scanned it. We have had a couple of domestic contributions that are being scanned from Zbane and TomoHawk! Thanks Guys! Will
  9. Just an update we have had a member offer his non working oscillator to the cause! I won't name him without his permission, but, this will be underway soon! How many of you have a clock with no oscillator? Will
  10. Jack, Jeff posted his pics to his gallery here for all to see-check the front page! As far as an antenna mast, I bought two a couple of years ago, and unless you find one before I find them, one will be for you. Will
  11. Ron, I appreciate the efforts! I forgot to mention that I tried all of the nataional and local optical shops around here, and while several had the right diameter, none had the right thread picth. I also tried the RC supply place that I got the small fasteners for the Z(combination light lens fasteners, Quarter window fasteners, etc) in stainless from. I have also searched google, Thomas Register, and several clock repair parts depots... Will
  12. I contacted Jeff(Montzer) and the pictures were a result of that contact, and his willingness to remove the clock and oscillator(which he obtained as NOS and had already installed) to take the pictures. I asked for pics of the packing to see if there was a manufacturers mark(there is a Citizen(I think) logo on the rotating dial(partially hidden from view by the hands of the clock), or any special instructions from the manufacturer that I could try to research for repair info. I hope not to have to sacrifice an oscillator to figure this out...but a pattern is a pattern...does anyone have an oscillator that does not work? Better to sacrifice and replace a dead unit than kill one a working one... Jeff has some serious '72 unobtainium, and he is a in a Z challenged locale! I have found some part I considered very rare, and he has some NOS I haven't even been able to find used in excellent shape. I certianly appreciated his efforts in removing and photographing his hardware for all of us! Will
  13. Unbelieveable. I had missed them here on the site as well, After meeting them both at Zfest I never would have thought... Will
  14. from ebay! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-FORD-MUSTANG-EMBLEM_W0QQitemZ120106045580QQihZ002QQcategoryZ80736QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1964-1965-64-65-FORD-MUSTANG-Grill-Emblem-7-3-4_W0QQitemZ200097575179QQihZ010QQcategoryZ10076QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
  15. I have been going over my rally clock to figure out why so many have said the oscillator is not a reproduceable thing. Because it cannot be a magic box made and used by a magician, I cannot believe it cannot be reproduced. To that end, I think I have come up with what it does... It looks to be a three phase converter for DC. I have not verified this, but with three power leads (Redblue, Redyellow, and Redwhite) coming out and conecting directly to the only motor in the clock and only a B+ and B- going in. The clock case also has a ground. I will keep on it and ohm-out the motor tonight. Will
  16. Ron, Just in case... The gage I have has both Whitworth 55(4g2.25/2.5 to 62g) and metrich 60(6.0 to .025)threads on it. It is still availablefor 4.95 plus shipping from Nevada.
  17. Yep, that wear is the number one cause of an unuseable crankshaft-have it repaired pronto-or go ahead and find another crank and the tools and/or money necessary to change them out! Will
  18. Your best bet is Hybridz.org Will
  19. Ron, Here is skinny on the knobs! Will
  20. Ron, When Installed the head of the screw is below the surface of the knob(I'll try to post a measured pic between diaper changes tonight), and it is recessed into the knob. The recess is not as deep in the 280zx digital clock knob either(once again, I'll try posting pics as the night unfolds). Will BTW, I git somethings in the mail yesterday-just cleared my wifes version of customs tonight!
  21. Here is a measured drawing(pardon my lack of drafting training!) Please let me know if I have made this complicated enough-I can do better! Will
  22. Thanks Kats! This is great! Will
  23. Ron, Jim, I'll post a pic an more details this afternoon, and it appears they are identical(the knob and screw fit either side). Thanks! Will
  24. Ok, now that I have your attention! I have a Rally clock, that is missing a knob! I have recieved good information from Zclocks that the knob off the 280ZX digital clock is similar, and it is. (I have a bunch of new ones if anyone needs one) The attatchment screw, however, isn't even close! The rally clock Fastener is a standard slotted 1.37mm in diameter(the threaded area) with .3mm thread pitch 8.04mm in lenght overall including a 3.15mm shoulder I have been hunting a similar screw on the internet and locally for several days and am no closer than I was the day I bought the clock. If you have a spare, or a good lead where one that fits could be found, I WOULD GREATLY APPRECIATE IT! Will
  25. David, He can have the bumper, there are several houses, a pond, and some good land pictured!!!!!!!! And all for $300!!! Will
