MSA sells the braided kits, as do most of the other Z vendors, I bought mine(for the Z and the Roadster) from ClassicTube.com(they had the crosover tubes and hardware for the roadster too!)

Rusted small Hardware replacements
That is the site for Zcar Creations I referenced in my first post of this thread. I have all of their offerings for my 240Z, and these that I have come up with are NOT in their offerings(at least as they were delivered to me...) I visited a salvage yard today to pickup the turnsignals taillights from a 280Z to see if they have the same rust problems-Yep-er! I'll see what they need and make up some for them too. I am going to do a little experimenting with how to get the "rusted beyond removable" fasteners out as well, and See what Kroil, PBBlaster, and a couple of other penetrating oils do to the plastice involved, so I can suggest one that will not damamge the assemblies, but will disolve the rust. Need help with rear suspension
The bolt will pop out if you tap the threaded end(the head of the bolt is wedge shaped with the smaller end at the threads) into the assembly. I'll see about a picture. You are not to the challenge of that area-the spindle pin(the part the bolt in question serves to set) is the real b!tch. Beandip has a laoner removal tool, and another member here sells them. Save you sanity, time frame and possible even the original spindle pin. Will

Keep the defroster grid?
I have tinted over them several times-I think you may have the wrong guy tinting your windows... All that has to happen is they need to be cleaned. The tint on my red 240Z has been on 10 years, right on top of the defroster(which does work)-no bubbles... I can take a picture if you would like... Will

Rusted small Hardware replacements
JeffMopar I am working on making a jig to make the stainless brackets for the hardlines less time and muscle intensive, and more repeatable-I am not having any luck finding a stainless steel hex head with a phillips drive for the bracket fasteners, so that part will probably be only hex head or phillips drive . I made a set of molds for the insulators from my old set-they work fine, but look every bit as bad as the ones they replaced, so I will be carving a set from machineable wax to use for molds-if the insulators are not made first by someone else. Will Over the weekend I will get together a set of "before and after" photos with instructions and responses to "what ifs". I'll ask a member of two to look over the "brochures" and when acceptable post them in a new thread,

Brake conversion kit, this all I need?
The Autozone link worked for me, you are looking for the S12 (nonvented upgrade) caliper(in the link), or the S12W (vented upgrade) caliper. Will

Starting car without lights plugged in...
Yes, as long as the engine harness and the battery is connected, the car will run-though you will have to start it with a quarter under the car if you have the dash out and the ignition switch disconnected-assuming you have a mechanical fuel pump, and not an electric one. Will

Rusted small Hardware replacements
Would there be any interest in buying Stainless steel replacements(of correct size and thread) for many of the difficult to find bolts that are normally found to be rusty and almost (if not) impossable to remove? I am talking about replacing hardware that has not already been addressed by Zcar Creations. They have wonderful stainless kits for the greater areas of Zcars. Specificly, a set for the quarter windows, and a set for the assembly of combination lights(240Z front turn Signal)-lens to housing. Every dissassebly I have ever done in these areas has shown issues with these fasteners. I have found the right pieces for replacements. Would it be worth $12.60 plus shipping for the quarter windows (28 pieces) and $5.40 plus shipping for the combination light lens attatchment hardware(12 pieces). Shipping would be done at cost, and could even be done in a small padded envelope, or via Priority mail for $4.05. Comments? Will I ask because I have already sourced these, and that price allows me to share the the knowledge without having everybody who wants a set have to pay the minimum order charge and freight charges-or buy a bunch of pieces and try to do what I am... Quarter window frame removal
I just sent you a PM, and will be posting a thread about it soon. I have several sets of spare quarter windows, so if something goes awry, let me know and we will work something out. Will

Quarter window frame removal
In the third picture I laid out the screws in the approximate position they go in around the frame-it is a little hard to see, and I appologize. Will

Quarter window frame removal
Here is a basic set of pictures, There are four phillips screws holding the frame together-two panhead and two flats. The glass simply slides into the frame seal-no sealant needed. Sealant/adhesive is used to glue the outer seals on to the frame-I can photograph those if you need it-I can take one of the ones I restored apart and lay it out as put together, if these don't get it! I never knew it would be so hard to take a picture of screws!!!

Zdayz ????
I understand completely-contrary to my silliness! My wife enjoyed my Z before we were married, and loved the car as though it was hers, but I had to promise her we would not take the Z on our honeymoon. We went back and forth about that issue several times, and finally amid much protest, I caved. We were married 90 miles from our house in her mothers church. Imagine my suprise when wh exited the church to find my Z waiting to be a part of the festivities. She had it brought up, had it detailed, and had my best man decorate it-knowing he would be careful with what went where. I still don't know how he kept the secret from me and got it all done. he is the worlds biggest UGA fan, and we were married GA/Fla weekend! When she puts her foot down she expects results-in a Z or not! Seriously, I hope to go next year in the 240Z and share the experience with my wife and boys. Reading your post from several years ago sharing the smiles enthusiasm and new-found understanding and appreciation from the first ride through the course in the Z with your son makes it even more appealing! Maybe my wife can drive the other Z with the other son, and we can swap out the boyZ for the return trip...but then, Thomas has already laid claim to the '68 2000, so it may be a Z and a Roadster... Quarter window frame removal
When I go home for lunch, I'll take a post several... The frame dissassembles into two major parts(unless there are issues) and a trim or two. Most Z parts suppliers have all of the seals and weatherstrips necessary, I bought mine from VB(Black Dragon), I'll see aboutr having them in the pics too. Will PS, I replaced all of the screws with stainless(frame and body). I have an extra set I'll sell for cost plus shipping-I'll get them in the pics too.

Zdayz ????
"A man with Priorities so out of whack does not deserve such a fine automobile" Will I had forgotten about Daytona-I thought you had moved the wedding to the infield...and made it a ZCCA sanctioned event! That might tempt too many of us to dress up your car for their event reasoning it would have to be "the honeymoon vehicle"!

Z Bra
There was an insurance commercial a year or more ago in which there was a car that was completely covered in ten layers of bubble wrap, that is a car bra to me. If you are going to hang all this upholstery outside of the car because of a potntial for rock or bug chips, you probably should have left the car in the garage and rented something else for that trip. 350Z - Bought it..Raced it..Killed it!
ChrisA, This really makes the judicial system up there look worse than that teenager. He is young, inexperienced and still figuring out life. That judge should at least be workin toward the public good and saving the life of the teenager. If I were up there I would file charges against the judge for negligance, public endangerment for not locking that guy up after such a demonstrated history of being a habitual criminal offender with no regard for authority, and and placing everyone at risk.
