Restored vs NOS Dash
NOS new old stock the curves on the on the restored dash are different-they have a larger radius as they turn in toward the gages(the tighest curve). The cooresponding curve on the NOS dash actually has a "flat spot" on the curve, giving it the appearance of a larger radius in this photo. If you look at the other one, the larger area is clearly seen in the restored dash. Will

Restored vs NOS Dash
I have tried to get some good pictures, but my lack of familiarity with photography seems to be preventing my efforts from being effective-it is all in the lighting, I just don't have the knowledge to work around this problem yet. Will

Restored vs NOS Dash
The flaws are simply grit and/or dust that was not cleaned off the dash before it was recovered. I will see if I can get pictures to show. The grain on the NOS dash is more "Pebbled" in appearance, the Restored dash is much smoother with a much less deeply embossed and smaller grain-very difficult to photograph for a layman, thatn to see in person. The NOS dash seems to be a little more "gray" than the restored dash. I will try again with photos... Will

Restored vs NOS Dash
Here is a picture of a restored dash(DashrestorationsUSA) and a NOS dash. They are different styles to begin with. The grain and color are different. The Restored dash is covered in less heavily embossed material, and has a much tighter grain, as well as a slightly different color. The circled areas point out where there are visible flaws in the restoration(dust/grit/old covering under the new covering material) The flaws, though small, and not very noticeable when the dash is installed are still there.

One for Rick
Look how far a complete character-less criminal(from the same state) who is famous for promoting the fact that he does not know the meaning of the word "is" was able to get... with out even going to prison or loosing his benefits! Is it really such a stretch to figure out that something must be in the water down there. I would rather have this Bill with low content on this forum than that bill with no character in the White House. Will

From good to bad in .1 seconds
Ed, After your fifth sentance, I was expecting to find your car had an unexpected intimate moment with a cement truck! I am glad to hear that the damage was all invisible, even though no damage would have been far better. It is good to know your car won't be totalled over some bent valves and fallout. A little time and money and it will be good as you had it. One bright spot on the horizon, with your car there is not room for W.A.I.T.! WIll but I

What flywheel bolts?
The bolts will be the same length. I just used a 77 flywheel and an '82 tranny, on a 83 engine(it had an auto tranny)-just be sure to remove the spacer, and add the bushing... WIll

Back to KYB vs. Tokico....
Oops! The adjustable springs normally let you change ride height, but an air bladder would allow you to alter the spring rate. A stiff spring will make the ride more harsh, and a soft spring would allow more travel for a given interruption-meaning potentially less movement transmitted to the passenger compartment. Will
