Were the third and fourth pictures on this link taken before the car moved in with Alan? (after a luxury cruise and a carriage ride shown in another thread!) http://www.geocities.jp/tanetane92/20060618nncs02.html Will

There were four distinct dashes for the S30, two for the 240Z and early 260Z, one for the late 260Z, and one for the 280Z. I have a '70-'72 and a '73-my '73 240Z had a '72 dash in it, I didn't figure it out until I bought the other one from MSA and it would actually fit the dash-so I have a '73 cover new in the box. If yours does not fit close, you proabably have the wrong one. There is a difference in the distance between the gages, and they are absolutely not close to interchangeable... Again, I have both 240Z full dash covers, so if you are not sure what you have, let me know and I will pull the one out of the car and do some pictures of both to document the differences. Will

There is no timer! What is going on is the sensor for intake air is detecting no air flow through the intake(In a a fuelinjected Z(X) the sensor is a part of the AFM), and the ecm cuts off the fule pump. With out this feature if the car were in a wreck that cut a fuel line and stopped the engine, the pump would empty the fuel tank and add to the fire hazzard of the wreck. There is a check valve in the fuel pump that enables it to keep prime, and in conjuction with the fuel pressure regulator, keeps the system pressurized. It could be that you have a leaking injector, that is allowing pressure to drop below what the car needs to run by putting fuel in after shut down(explains the after run) and making the fuel system act as if you must reprime the tank on the next startup. I would put a suitable fuel pressure gage in under the hood and check what happens from startup through running and then to shut down-I think your fuel pressure is dropping to 0 after sitting a little while, and it should drop only slightly at shutdown. Be careful using contact cement to secure a dash cover-the speedo and tach are ment to come out through the front! If you cement that cover on you will have to cut it up to get the gages out! Silicone was chosen to allow you to remove the cover without damage if the gages ever needed to come out! I wrote this guide to installing a cover a while back-I hope you find it useful: See post #18 http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12725&page=2&pp=15&highlight=dash+cover I know my site is down-it should be backup shortly... First is this an automatic or a manual ac? (what is the vin#) I suspect a vacuum problem either in the lines or the actuators. If you have a FSM, check the toubleshooting section for the algorythm, if not, pm me your vin and an email address and I will send you what I can find on your car. Will

Hey, It was covered. Look at the plastic on the ground, the owner tried at somepoint to protect it. Thanks to his continued efforts, there is another parts car where a roadworthy Z should be. Will

There is a wee bit more to it than that, unless you want to hear that every time you open the door, and not only when you leave it open for an extended period of time. You could put a pause at the beginning of the recording, or put a delay timer in the circuit just after the trigger switch. Will

  20. The tire tub is a different depth, the late cars had a raised false floor, but the panel you pictured does not contain any sheet metal pertinant to thise details. Do what you are comfortable with, and enjoy your car! Will

Thanks Carl, That did refresh my memory, I want to say the AP series had even heavier paper, and a couple of other features that were different from the larger series. I figure 2,300 copies of paper based art made available to the general population of Z enthusiasts probably would not have appreciated that much-now if the copies were highly desireable early series one or JDM parts.... basic order of events test fit, trim, correct, and temporarliy mount the body parts. Remove the parts, and sand them where they meet the body, so that they will absorb and stick to the glass strips. run the wax paper. temp remount the kit parts-waxing the mounting harware push the strips of glass dampened(not soaked) with resin and catalyst on the wax paper, any extra material will flow out from the mounting pressure. this will create a fitted flange for the body kit and fill the spaces between the kit and the body. Make sure you cover the floor of your work area-if it is important to anyone, wear clothes that can be thrown away-you Will get resin on them, Wear surgical gloves, and a hat-you will be working from underneath, and drips will get on you. I suggest you make "a wet run", using paper towels and water as resin and cloth/mat, this is messy business. I will write up and post a detailed article about this in the next day or two, there are a bunch of tips I should add that I can't think of now...long day... Will

Has he actually sold any at that price? I haven't noticed any "go"... I have seen used wheel sets going for $100-250 depending on condition and shipping charges, and polished sets going for $250-300, but too many sellers charge way to much to ship wheels... I wonder what is up with the ZCCA-if feel certian they could refresh our memories of the differences in the posters. Will
