If you are keepng the engine stock, or doing mild mods, the Sus are terrific. Send yours to ZTherapy and let them update and rebuild them-you'll be impressed from the first drive! Webbers-especially tripples-work better on a seriously modded engine
  2. Yikes, I guess I better not install that NOS speedo (No miles on the clock)in my 240Z... Mike, I am going to take as many pictires as I can, I signed up to be a judge as well, and I have a car entered, so it may be a serious juggling act(I'll do my best to hold the camera still though!)! Will
  3. I hope you mean like painting the car...:stupid:, and I hope I am the only one in this boat... Will
  4. Best answer-clean and box up the complete Flattop assy(heatshield, manifolds, Balance tube and carbs) and get a complete assy of three screws from ZTherapy(Bruce has a twisted sense of humor-run with it!) bolt 'em on, tune them as directed, and find what you have no clue was missing in your car! I had a '73 with flat tops that I thought was well tuned until I swapped to three screws...night and day difference, never would have thought if I hadn't been persuaded. Best thing to do to a '73 with the original drivetrain. Here is most of what it looks like!
  5. Normally the kits cover all of the coupe models(240, 260, 280) and the weather strip kit changes through the years, so a three piece kit that includes '73 would be right. The largest gasket installs on the pinch weld flange, the smaller piece fits over the flange it sits on, but usually is glued on using 3M yellow weatherstrip adhesive. Precision makes the kits that most suppliers sell, The last one I Bought came from Victoria British?Black(DUMB NAME) Dragon. Most of the serious suppliers sell them, so shop for price as they are all the same. Search for Vendor List in the archives and you will come uup with the majority of the vendors. On the tools, check the classifieds here, and ebay, plus you will probably get several replies to your post. Will
  6. I will be picking up 4 Bridgestone RE9560AS 205/60/15 s from the Tirerack Distribution center on Friday ( http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE960AS+Pole+Position&partnum=06HR5RE960PP&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=3 ) The total is $337.82 adding m&b, and I am at 377.82, which is almost $85 less than the same tires from the place that will be mounting and balancing them. I'll have about an hour in in picking them up and dropping them off-less time than waiting for them to be put on-the last time it took just shy of two and a half hours... Will

Rick ya little riper! I'm forwarding that to all of Queensland lawenforcement organizations-you may have a license, and proper rego, but I bet you'll get nowhere! The Mrs will have no trouble keeping you under thumb after that one That's too damn funny! Will

  12. That's a set of wheels in need of refinishing and some other parts(the door mirrors appear to be the metal variety sold by Nissan Comp and used on the Black Pearl). Will

Looks like you left the engine cleaner at the store! Imagine your before and afters(not to mention hands, shirt, bumps and bruises) had you not! Even so, she looks better... Will
  14. Yes it would! Will
  15. Measure the distance between the radiator and the pulleys on the engine, you will find you need a very thin fan, given the choice, rebuild the fan clutch-it is pretty easy, cheep, and being a factory part, no fitting, electrical modification, or piddling about is required...

I am getting ready for tires on my car too, In going with 15x7 enkei 92s I found that 225/55/15 is the same diameter as original, but The TireRack does not have any in a GT/high perfrmance tire, so I am probably going with Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS 205/60/15 if they get them back in stock at the distribution center that is 30 minutes from me. They allow pickup, saving $33 in local shipping or $45 if coming from the MD distribution center. Will Will

He should have paid for the shipping, sent you annother one right out, appologized profusely and sincluded you a new Voltage Regulator cover-then $3.95 for your trouble! In a small market, you want to be the only place your customer buys from, not the place they only buy from once. Will
  19. Since this thread was posted I have been wondering what in the world would make a junkyard owner do this. I finally have the answer: The owners thoughts: "So you think my 350Z looks like a toad...I show you! And he did-but wouldn't a 350Z look more at home on a lilly pad disquised as a school bus? Second thought(arguably ever), If the shool bus was made by the Blue Bird Corporation ( http://www.blue-bird.com/ ) and the Nissan 510 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Bluebird ) was a Nissan Blue bird, and the Z is its closest relative in that particular yard, maybe birds of a feather are trying to "flock" together...Don't tell Mr. K...but maybe that's why new cars are getting bigger and more importantly heavier...it is tracked back to heridity. Next Thought: If keeping a car between the yellow lines is good, wouldn't keeping it inside one of them be better? One More: You did tell the valet to "park it anywhere"... Last thought: What do you get if you cross a Schoolbus with a 280Z? I don't know but it is parked by that telephone poll! John Handey Saturday Night Live: Deep Thoughts...
  20. I know some busses have bike racks, but this is ridiculous Wow, even busses have landing rights... They'll put a parkinglot anywhere! I heard they paved paradise to put a parkinglot, but this... Rideshare just got more convenient! They gotta chage the capacity sign... The newest double decker bus someone forgot the "Z Parking Only" sign. Momma always said life was like a Z on a bus... What would Chuck Norris do? Can Mad Mike throw a party or what! Now that's one hell of a place to put a Dyno! In checkers this is a king! Most people are happys using a towbar.... Let's see someone steal parts off it now! I'll take a Z over a bus any day! Will
  21. Proof that somewhere there is an Evil Doodlebop! Will
  22. and this one time, on my way to band camp... The principal said he would get me and the car I rode in on... were both on detention. Dude, where's my car? After threatening to take 18 year old Brians car away for the last time, His father knew he'd never find it there... Tail of the Dragon whips another one The latest results at HybridZ...engineered to bounce... Damn, somebody needs new shocks! You know you need new shocks when... Normally in an accident the other car ends up on the hood of the Z... Marty transplanted the flux capacitor and still has some work to do... SH!T, my sister drove my car again! Bill Ramseys new way to save gas! Rick told Bill how much fun being on top was, Bill obviously misunderstood-but he hasn't figured that out yet! I was this lost once! An out take of Roscoe's other car... in the Dukes of Hazzard Hey, there's a way to get your car to Daytona! The last step to a woman using an ATM... THe last straw before a man asks for directions...
