  1. If you still have that panel off and haven't already done it, take your air gun and blow out the drain. I bet yours is stopped up. When it's open you can feel and hear air blowing out above the passenger's front tire. Looks good!
  2. My cruddy tank would let me drive about a mile before clogging up the fram g2 I had right out of the tank. Took the front hose off at input of that filter. Blew like crazy with my mouth until it was gurgling in the tank then I could get back home, barely.
  3. These are what Zed's talking about.
  4. This is the cheapest and easiest way to get a close level of the float chambers. $2 worth of clear hose from Lowes. The red arrow in this pic. The fuel in the hose should be even with the top of that rectangular boss on the side of the carb.
  5. Sort of but a bit fuzzy from all the "flights". There's only a few ways of thinking when it comes to the Q in my opinion. Pulled or chopped, white sauce or red and low and slow vs over an open flame. Honestly I was thinking it was two guys at the table with that girl? Do tell, I'm curious now. My steel trap didn't hold that conversation too well.

Were you in Alabama in late '68? Dad?

I've always said gin taste like Pine Sol but I've never had pine sol and tonic? Maybe my mind thinks gin taste like the smell of pine sol? Like sauerkraut taste like the smell of farts. I could go on but I won't.

I've started huffing Lysol instead of metallic gold spray paint. Mow the yard in direct sunshine and huff some Lysol. Life is good!
  9. I remember it like it was yesterday. We went to the right address of the brewery but no taps. The guy had reddish brown hair and Carhart overalls on. He was stirring a big ole pot of something when we came in the loading dock's door. Walked by a forklift and a dumpster up a few steps and into the brewery. Isn't he the one that gave us those wooden tokens for free beer at their tap house/bar? where we sat at a table with a bunch of other folks? I remember the super sweet good looking girl that took your printed list and told us "go here and here...". My favorite was the one where you and I were the only ones there yet and they brought out those sampler planks, you knew the name but I'd never seen that before. Great memories Sir!
  10. I bet your air pull is much higher now. Do you use a "snail" air meter? I bought the Empi off amazon.com https://www.amazon.com/43-5712-Universal-Pro-Sync-Adapters-Volkswagen/dp/B00BVQGFZG
  11. A vacuum gauge will tell a lot diagnostic wise.
  12. Here's some reading, stalking. Welcome to the forum! https://www.google.com/search?q='78+running+lean+classiczcars.com+site:www.classiczcars.com&rlz=1C1BOFA_enUS494US494&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjpv4iss__oAhVFgXIEHYzZBSUQrQIoBDAAegQIAhAP&biw=1280&bih=606
  13. Does it have the little rubber nub on the dome bottom? I think it's for alignment but the ztherapy dvd says cut it off, I did on my set of SUs. BTW, damn fine looking car!
  14. That Camry was great in Memphis. It's stealthiness worked very well for our craft beer tour downtown. Ask our buddy.
  15. I hear you. I don't like buying one use either. Harbor Freight have them? Hopefully someone will respond with a loaner.

Well I'll be one one of 'them' I guess. Cigarettes kill way more than covid-19 could hope to. I'm sorry but I do not understand smokers of the cigarette. No offense, I'm a hypocrite, I do things that baffle my loved ones.

I read the opposite. Also no packing the cigarette tobacco, more lung sucking work.
  18. Here's what I want for going back to work. I believe they're washable too? https://www.amazon.com/JewelryWe-Neopren-Motorcycle-Snowboard-Balaclava/dp/B086P94855/ref=zg_bs_3271034011_17?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=64NYE8Z8EKMNNPY2AEYA
  19. I paid $1,500 for a mattress 2 years ago. Comfort is important to me now. Mine are original cars from the '70s. Fun for a 30 minute rip around here but not road cars. But I might, and I mean a light might, drive my 280. I could park next to you and do that "better by comparison" thing and you'd get flogged with lookers while I sit back and drink beers.
  20. Not sure about a loaner but there are options.
  21. Thinking about ZCON this year. After being paid to stay home for over a month it'll be interesting to find out how many vacation days get wiped out. If everything works out like Washington is thinking the month of September will be when we're getting back in stride and busy at the restaurant I work for. I think I'll be able to get away for a week but am left wondering about others. Time will tell but I sure hope we can all attend as planned. Safe distance in a Z car? I don't think so. I figure in my Camry someone could sit in the back passengers side seat and we'd have 4 ft.
  22. Thank you for the reply. That's a well thought out then built garage for sure. You'll enjoy that for many years. Looking back at your photo it must be some kind of reflection that I thought was a gap. Farther down the gap isn't there.
  23. I have a 5 speed out of a '79 ZX 2+2 which is the wide B. Original R180 from '72 is 3.364. The speedo gear was in the original 4 speed and is a yellowish color if I remember right, maybe dirty white? I run 15" 205/55 tires. My speedometer was compared to a couple of friend's newer cars and a truck running beside me on the interstate. 70 75 and 80 were the same as we compared talking on our phones. I didn't want to get a speeding ticket and argue with excuses about my drivetrain.
  24. I can't figure out why the plywood clips are so different on the backside vs front. Is that by design or just not nailed down yet? Looks great, robust like a storm shelter too. #26 deserves it.
