  1. All of these sites have terrible layouts and bad navigation :\

So there's nothing that wasn't designed by a 12 year old for buying aftermarket classic z parts online?!?

I understand what your sayin'... I hate how they don't have a photo for every part. I don't know what all the parts are called and photos would be nice.

Ya im not a fan of this either but i had someone suggest it and wanted to see if anyone had seen it before on a z car.... There is plenty of room on the rear is you dont have a wrap around 240z bumper. If you have a clean rear end it might look pretty nice if the stripes were scaled down... idk

  3. This is what the rear deck looks like now. I applied about 5 thin coats of Por 15 then while it was finger dry I shot some silver paint on her. Doesn't she look sharp or what? :classic:

  4. Welcome!!! :classic: You will find this site very helpful on anything you do z car related.

    These cars are addictive...

True true true very very true! :D

  5. Wow! Thanks alot guys! I will get more pics of it up soon. Im going to put it on craigs for 3650 obo. I would think that a collector would buy it up real fast for the condition that its in. If didnt have my z project I would buy it. They offered it to me for 1000 but I declined. Not a datsun pickup kinda guy.

My mother inlaw came to me after her fathers death and asked me to sell her fathers 78' datsun pickup. Sorry that the only photo I got is the engine bay.... There is hardly any body damage and no rust it is in need of a repaint but the interior is in mint condition same with the engine bay. The truck has 56,000 orignal miles. Always sat in a garage. Her father is the orignal owner as well. What should I put in the window? Does the 2200 I have on it now fit it well?

  7. I worked on the floor some more tonight and this is what I got....There is a dime size hole right in front of the seat. That’s the worst part of the whole thing so far. Next is to take the seat out and continue back.... But the worst is over because the rest of the floor is in better shape… I think…:pirate:

  8. Well it was driving me crazy so I went out to see if the floor was rusted thru or not. Didnt have time to do the whole floor but the section I did do looks good so far. Just hope the rest of it is good!

  9. Oh Im not just going to just POR it and forget it. Im just totally not looking forward to uncovering the damage because im not a welder and not all that hot with any other form of body work.:paranoid:

Is that stock sound proofing material hard to remove?

Ya it does look like more then just surface rust. The bottom of the floor looks great and so does the passenger frame rail. Im just scared that what is left of of good metal is so thin its going to have to be replaced. Also the only support I might have is the undercoating, but the floor feels to strong for that to be the case. The strange thing is on the drivers side its the other way around. Frame rail has about a 6 inche area rusted out and the floor is in great condition.

Should I take the sound proofing material up?

I know that I am getting away from the rear hatch when I bring this up but I do not know where to start with this... The PO had sprayed black primer on the floor so under that is rust. It does not appear to be rusted thru. What should I do first to prep for the POR products??? I can take better photos if needed.....:bunny:

  12. Well I got my Por 15 products ordered! I got Por 15 silver, Marine clean, metal ready, and white seam filler. I totally cant wait!!! I got enough to do my floor boards, rear hatch, and battery tray!!! The local Napa store had Por 15 but they only had a pint of black and none of the prep products so I just ordered online.
