- Interior Most of my time was spent over 4 years restoring the interior as I removed everything (but the dash) down to the base chassis tackling portions of the interior while I could still enjoy driving the car. The dash harness was altered several times incorrectly so I had to rework it back to stock functional level. I also added the MSA Maxi Fuse box. Had the Combo Switch reworked by D. Irwin along with buying his HLH and PLH upgrades. Refinished a Series I eBay steering wheel for the car and tackled repairing the cracked dash per techniques posted in this web-site(saved the nice dash cover just in case!). All gauges are original except for the Tach - which has modern internal electronics for new ignition systems. Clock was replaced with a vacumm gauge and I have a new oil pressure gauge below the steering column. I re-dyed the diamond Vinyl with SEM black and repainted the Plastic body parts with SEM ABS black. Carpet is a new 5 piece set (cut pile - not stock loop). Finally finishing off the interior in 2009 with NOS Door panels from Nissan along with New MSA Dogleg side pieces. Finally got the doors to close nicely using original OEM Nissan weather stripping with seperate welting from MSA. Seats are original and in very good shape. Added plenty of sound proofing to help reduce road noise levels and it works nicely.
- In-Car Entertainment Installed a Dual Quad stereo with remote control, usb and iPod ports - it's the best stereo I have in all my cars! It was a great investment since it get's my wife out for cruising as we pop in her usb stick of songs. I fabbed up 2 brackets for the rear quarter panels using the original driver side as a pattern installing 5" speakers. Installed 3" smaller speakers behind both front foot side panels. Wired up a nice micro toggle switch in the console for the antenna.
