Hi , today I would like to show this, a set of 9 K chocks . They are provided by Jim , Zup here . Thank you so much Jim , I am so glad that the perfect matching date chocks are in my Z432’s tool bin !!

I took pictures, thank you !

PS : you see the extra tools in the picture,

a monkey wrench and a tire pressure gauge. They are my choice , I imagined when first  owner bought the car , he would have chosen those tools from a Nissan dealer as an optional item .

Other tools are STD for Z432 .

I have never seen “ box wrench “ ,

” set drivers “ , etc .

One thing I want to tell you is , Fairlady Z parts catalogs never showen those tools in it. And also they do not have a section of “ audio “ and “ key “ , as well as “ model NO . Plate “ etc. I attached pictures which are never indicated in the Fairlady Z parts catalogs.

I am still wondering how did they take an order from customer without those descriptions in their book ? This is my biggest question about the Fairlady Z parts catalogs.

Now it is my turn , I will give my "0 G " (to be Jul 1970) chocks to someone , just like Jim did it for me . If someone needs it , please let me know.

I noticed variation of the sticker , my Dec 1971 and Jun 1972 cars have the sticker which shows single picture for how to stow .

But other cars like late 1972 and 1973 cars have the sticker which shows triple step for how to stow .

One more befor go to bed , this set of tools

is belonging to a 260Z sold in UK ,  just gorgeous, plenty of tools. This full set of tools is just like Nissan Cedric,  a luxury sedan . Please note the Nissan hamburger marks does not have  “ Nissan “ in it . This will be a sign that this car would build late 1973  or later .

Hi ,

Here is another kind Z friend , Mike B gave me this wheel nut wrench which is the best combination for 01/ 1970 Z432.

It has only a Nissan hamburger   , and simply showing an alphabet “ I “ . My 03/1970 240 Z has the same wrench and it has “ J “ on it.

And a teeth for the removing hub cap is pointing different, early one is facing same direction as the nut socket .

I think later one has  like this  , “ NISSAN  ( NISSAN hamburger  ) MOTOR  “

My 06/1972 240ZG has  “27 “ on it , what does this numbers mean ?

And Mike rent me tools contents papers  , early one has colored Nissan hamburger !! I have never seen it before .

I will make replica of them for Datsun 240 Z and Fairlady Z , and Z432 . They are different each other due to tools line up .

Thanks Mike B !!

Hi ,

this is not related “ build date “ but I found this wooden grip reversible driver is bare wood , I mean not covered by clear lacquer. This is found in a May 1972 tool bag for Nissan Blue Bird ( 510 ) .

Dec 1969 Z432 has a lacquercoat wooden grip , so there would be a difference between them , early has lacquercoat , later does not .

Kats, and others. Thanks for this info. My jack has the same birthday as your friend Shimoura San.

R.I.G - “1972 September 7th “  This dates well to the approx car manufacture date of the Fairlady Z Serial number S30100698

Nice to know it is likely the original

The chock is from a later donor car (I know the PO used some parts from another 1973 240z in making some repairs). 3B = 1973 March

Here is the tool list for my 1973 240Z.  Production date on the car is 10/72 - only one month after Kat's friend Mr. Shimoura's Fairlady 240 ZG  (9/ 1972) .  The "date stamp" is 45, 10, -3 , which, if I understand the system correctly means 1972, October 3rd - which matches the build date of my car very closely.

My jack and tools are with the parts at Motorman7s place.  I'll get details of those next time i'm visiting my car.
