VTECseoul, by the powers of Nissan, has mutated into 280steveX

i just bought the 280ZX last month, my name is Stephen & this is a Z board; therefore i used a simple name & put it in place of the Z. if you don't know what a Z car is then stop breathing right now. i was previously VTECseoul on other boards, and that comes from the Accord my wife drives & i had planned to modify. the Accord has a VTEC engine and i am Korean, the capitol of South Korea is called Seoul, thus the old SN.

I had on my 240Z when I owned it from 1981-92. When i sold my 240 i turned the license plate back into the DMV, secretly hoping one day i would own it again! Lo and behold, when i applied for it in January, it was still available so i can put it on my 280Z! This what you'll see everytime you see me drive down the street!

"See Nick's Z Go!"

I think my name speaks for itself, although I've always been called Doolan by my friends it's my last name and yes it annoys me too Kmack :classic: . My sister has the same problem as me her friends call her doolan also.

Anyway I had the nick 240z at Zdriver.com but here it was taken. So I decided Gav240z as it's good for people to know you by name and it's something I can use at zcar.com and hybridz etc.. even though I mainly use this forum.

Carl your bambi killer story has got me thinking I could do something similar my 260z managed to kill 3 cars in it's accident. Some WRX "AKA boy racer" pulled out infront of me from stopped traffic and I tried to avoid him and the parked cars but alas no space and ran into him then hit a parked car which in turn went into the car in front.

The good news the 2 parked cars were ticket inspectors cars. The WRX had more than 4k worth of damage and my 260z was written off. I managed to Salvage it's L28 P90 head a rarity of an engine here in AUS.:classic:

But my new car the red 240z in the gallery can't really claim to what the 260z did.

I wanna call it something like Eleanor in gone in sixty seconds but not sure what to call it yet???

Any suggestions???

Mine is simple.

fstr240z- faster 240z

I had worked hard one summer at a grain elevator and cotton gin(i live in texas, and i am a college student). I was working 7day 12hr weeks for close to 3 months. I was able to save $3000 for my 240z. My friend asked me are you going to make a better looking 240z or a faster 240z.

Instead of getting a new paint job (which my paint wasn't all that bad for a daily driver) I purchased performance parts.

So I made a faster 240z, thus

the name faster 240z.
