I wanted to use the custom rubber fittings Eurodat made me, and I don't plan on building a performance engine anytime soon. If I do need more flow, I can address that later. Plus cost. 3/8" tubing is significantly more money. 5/16" is more than enough.
wheee! Posted July 11, 2017 Author Share #1418 Posted July 11, 2017 Placed my order with B-Quiet Sound Deadener Ordered 3 rolls of 12" x 50' (150 sq ft) of the ultimate butyl sound deadener plus 13.5 sg ft of VComp foam insulator mat. Total cost around $600 Cdn. A much better value than Dynamat I believe! I will post pics of the install etc when I get to that stage.

You've had your car apart for a while and probably don't remember where everything goes. Take some time to remind yourself before you bend the new lines. Use the old lines as templates! Reference these pics, I put the old lines on first and then bent new ones when I was sure where everything went. I have more if you need them. We have the same year car and believe it or not, it isn't as straightforward as you would think. Edited July 12, 2017 by ksechler

What kind of wax will you use on it? [emoji4]Thanks! It was indeed a long process. Before I flip the car onto its shoes, I will probably put a good coat of hard wax on the clearcoat. Buff it up and that will be it. I don't expect to see a lot of the bottom of the car in the future. It was my practice paint area.

It was my practice paint area. You certainly did very special work and set the bar high for yourself. I can't wait to see how the rest of the car turns out if that's what you did to the underside! Fantastic work!
