the winter from hell

Hey zhead, I feel your pain and I'm in Texas. Not as cold as you I'm sure but it's -11 F wind chill here in the Panhandle. I am older than you so it hurts me a little more now. Put that dam fence back up. I was playing golf this time last year. LOL John

Drove from Harrisburg to southern Connecticut and swore I could see the ice and snow storm in my rear view mirror rushing to catch me. I was one of the last vehicles to traverse RT 84 in New York before it was closed. The tractor trailers were pedal to the medal trying to outrun the storm but at times I was passing them like they were still in low-low. The weather keeps me off the golf courses and focused on getting my Zs ready for the coming season. No drought in New England this year.

From another old guy.

I just can't imagine cold like you guys are describing, and i feel for y'all.

We are still 'suffering' a balmy South Pacific summer here in Auckland.

Our winters here seldom reach zero C or +32F. LOL

Brian.

This winter sucks. I have run out of room to pile snow and every few days we get dumped on again. The worst part is that it's still early February and we could have several more months of this crap.

Even us "young" guys are sick of this brutally cold winter! In Iowa we've had 8 days in a row with the high temp below freezing and are projected to have another 10 days below freezing. Today it's supposed to reach a balmy 12 degrees. :) I guess we're finally experiencing the ice age we were supposed to get before they decided it was global warming. :)

I would like to complain, too about the solid week with lows to -20C, but I can't summon the energy! Seasonal Affective Disorder from lack of sunlight has sapped my energy. At least the town bladed our street today, reducing the 7 inch ruts in the road to a smooth sheet of ice!

Here in the Netherlands we have had no snow so far, very mild weather average 5 to 8c.. but who knows we might still get cold and snow..

Just wait, soon the melting polar ice cap will put enough fresh water in the North Atlantic to subvert the Gulfstream current and voila, a mini ice age for EuropeLOL

Send us all the frozen water you have. 100 year drought here in the Kalifornia's SF Bay area. Finally got some rain this week, but it won't be enough. I anticipate water rationing this Summer, which will include no washing of classic Z's...
