Option to ignore "Unread Posts"

Recommended Posts

Every time I click the link to see which topics have new action, I get 4 or more pages to browse through. There is a message that says, "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts." That's nice to know, but I'm not interested in reading every post of every topic, only the new posts in my subscribed topics, or new topics, since the last visit.

Marking 'all forums read' doesn't seem to eliminate all the unread posts.

Not sure that there is a remedy for that. On another note, the option to ignore an individual member's post has probably been used with much higher frequency since sometime in December 2011 until now than any other time period in the past......

Just stop looking/reading when you get to the notice that says, "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts." Nothing new has been added and if you weren't interested in them before, you may not be now. Kind of like stopping reading names and numbers in the phone book after you find the one you want.

+1 to the option to ignore an individual member's posts mentioned in post #2 above.

I hear and understand what you are saying.

Send a PM to MIKE, he's the owner / operator of the site. If enough people mention and complain about the same member, he'll know that we have a bad apple in the mix. Otherwise, we're just grousing amongst ourselves.

You guys do a great job of being polite, and only in the extreme have I seen excesses, and I know that unless you guys tell Mike and Arne... nothing will happen.

Hi guys, just found this post. Tomohawk, when you say you click on a "link" to see which topics have new action, what link are you speaking of? Is this the what's new tab at the top?
